For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Greetings everyone! It is cloudy again today with a temperature of 27F (-3C). We had a bit of freezing rain this morning, giving us a bit more ice to enjoy. All that lovely frost I have been showing lately is gone, blown off the trees by the strong wind we have had.
Even the white on the ground seen in those pictures is frost on the grass, not snow. I will show a couple pics today of the ice fog we had that produced all that beautiful frost. When I took the pics of the fog, it was not so bad as it had been when I could barely see across the street.

But taking pics of that would not have produced anything except a picture of gray. Speaking of Muffin, I need to plant some more grass seed for her. Actually it is oat grass which is very good for indoor cats. Indoor cats do enjoy having their salad and it is very good for them.

Never give them onions, garlic, chives, things like that, which can be very harmful for cats. I used to grow chives indoors because I enjoy them and so did Muffin. But those chives gave her arthritis-like symptoms which slowed her right down so she could not play or run around.

When I discovered that, I tossed the chives and gave her oat grass. Her symptoms cleared up very quickly and she was back to normal. Right now she is having her afternoon nap. Not a bad idea actually. I am probably tired enough to sleep this afternoon, I did not get much sleep the last couple of nights. Oh well.

I still have one flower bud on my Christmas cactus, it was quite a bit behind all the others, likely it will take another couple of days to open. But that is fine. I think a cup of afternoon coffee would be nice right about now. I hope you all enjoy the rest of the day and God bless!

Love the view! The drearyness was what I looked at through my windows half the day. Happy Muffin feels better.

Thanks Kim. It was nice and sunny for a while, but the clouds have taken over once again. Muffin was running wild this morning but she is now enjoying a long winter nap.😊😺☕☕

The crystal blue sky that contrasts with the snowy ground and frosty trees is truly breathtaking… as if the temp would not do that anyway! But something about the hazy gray of winter is soothing to me. The beauty of the bright sun shining on the earth is pleasant, but give me a thick layer of dry clouds over a snowy field to comfort my heart.

It takes that ice fog to really make the trees shine like that. But that is frost on the grass too, not snow, we still lack snow here. My mother was like that too, gray clouds and snow is what she liked most. Glad you enjoyed the photos! 😊😺☕☕
