For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Hello everyone! Welcome back once again! I hope that all of you are well today and that your day is going good so far. It is cloudy here again today, though it was sunny earlier. The temperature is still cold, down somewhere around -30F (-34C), but it will be warming up by the weekend, and quite mild next week. That is, providing the forecast does not change, which it often does.
Muffin has been running around again this morning, but now she has settled down after her snack and she is sleeping peacefully on my reading bench. That is her new favorite spot since the morning sun shines on her nicely there. She will likely wake up soon and change locations since the sun is no longer shining on her.

White-tailed Deer, a doe with her fawns in their first year.
I must remember to plant some more grass for her to eat. It is a good thing for indoor cats to have that source of greens in their diet. Even certain vegetables can be good for them too. Make sure they never get onions of any variety, or garlic. Those can be quite toxic for cats and dogs, usually not killing them (though it can), but producing many other problems.
Muffin had serious arthritis like symptoms for over two years. I finally found out what the problem was from a gardening site. Once I removed the chives, which I was growing indoors, then her arthritis cleared up very quickly. Our local vet was surprised to learn this information, and I was able to stop giving Muffin her expensive arthritis medication.

One of the fawns, that I named Fuzzy, coming closer to me.
However, some things are good for indoor cats. Muffin likes broccoli, uncooked, plus carrots and lettuce. Muffin is a bit strange, much like her human. We fit together quite well. Speaking of snow, we still do not have very much, about 6 inches or so, but it is enough to make it look more like winter.
Usually in winters where we do not get much snow at the beginning, then we get a lot in the second half of winter, from February to April. Terrible getting snow in April, that makes spring so very short. Oh well, we get what we get and be happy anyway.

And here it is nice and close.
No point in grumbling about things we cannot change, so may as well just be happy which is far more enjoyable than grumbling. Well, time for another cup of coffee, thanks for stopping by today. Have a great day and God bless!

Nice pictures, Steve! Also, I had no idea Muffin suffered from that, I’m sorry to hear! He looks like a healthy, well cared for fellow.
Have a great rest of your week!

Thank you so much Katherine! Yes, Muffin was quite crippled with arthritis but is now a normal, playful cat.
Thanks Katherine, enjoy your week as well!😊😺🐈❄️

Steve, thank you for the coffee and the deer photos. Winter finally made an appearance in central Ohio, but the cold wasn’t quite as frigid as your temperatures. We received about two inches of light powder.

Nice to have you stop by for coffee Richard! We still only have about 6 inches of snow, much less than normal for this time of year. Have a great weekend!😊🐈❄️☕☕
