For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Good morning everyone and Happy February! Time to grab a cup of coffee and relax for a few minutes. It is cloudy once again, seems like I am always saying that, though yesterday we did get to see some sunshine. And warm temperatures. It was actually 46F (8C) yesterday! Not too bad at all for this time of the year.
Not going to be so warm today, but still above freezing at least. And it should stay that way for another week. Very nice indeed. Not that I have a lot to do outside, but I do have a balcony and with yesterday’s warm temps and sunshine, it actually felt quite nice to sit out there and enjoy part of the day. Even Muffin liked the idea, until a dog was walking past on the sidewalk below with it’s human and started barking.

Muffin decided it was time to go back inside. But when I stayed out then she wanted back out too. Sigh. She did not stay out long though and wanted back in again. I think she was trying to tell me to do the same. I wanted to finish my tea first. Then, scritch, scritch, scritch.
I open the door and Muffin came back out and sat in the sun for a bit. Then she went back to the door and meowed. Sigh. I let her back in. My tea is getting cold. Sigh.

I like to drink my raspberry leaf tea in the afternoon. It is possible to buy it, but usually it is mixed with other things. I prefer just the raspberry leaves. Sometimes it is possible to buy just raspberry leaves, but I still prefer to make my own, it has a nicer flavor. And if dried and stored properly it can last a long time without losing its flavor. And it is great if you have a cold or flu.
It is easy on the stomach and can help with sore throat or cough. It will help to settle an upset stomach quite quickly. And it will not interfere with sleeping. Plus, I just like its nice delicate flavor, and it is good as hot tea or as iced tea on a hot summer day. Not that we get many hot summer days usually. So perhaps I should say a warm summer day.

But if you live in an area where it does get hot in the summer, then this would be good as iced tea too. Oh well. I went through the entire month of January without using my camera. A new record. They were testing the fire alarms yesterday. Why can’t they use clanging bells?
Instead they use this high pitched whistle. Talk about being hard on the ears. Muffin hates that alarm. Considering how hard it is on my ears, it must be really bad for her. And they kept it up for a whole hour. Not steady, just off and on. Oh well. It works, I guess. Well, I hope you all have a great day and God bless!
