For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Good morning everyone! It is amazing that it is already the end of another year. This year went by much too fast. Maybe even faster. And I didn’t seem to get much accomplished this year. Normal things still get done, but I’m talking about those extra things. Like special walks to the river. Of course, the possibility of meeting bears on such a walk has increased a lot over the years.
So, that thought is not too exciting, and it kind of stops me from those walks. Which is sad. It is so beautiful down there, summer and winter. And every other time of the year. Sometimes I think we really only have 2 seasons. One with snow and one with no snow. That seems to fit better. Today is cloudy once again, with fog and light mist or drizzle at times. But it is mild again, around 34F (1C) this morning.

Frosty Red Pine.
It might rise in temperature a bit before cooling off tonight. Then we move into colder weather, though nothing seriously cold. But it will mean a lot more ice around again. That makes it hard to get out walking. Safely, that is. This kind of weather is not very enjoyable for walking anyway. Some people really enjoy this weather. But for me, it is rather dull and gloomy when it hangs around day after day after day…and on.

Frosty winter.
I like sunshine. It always makes me feel perkier and gives me energy so that I want to get out and do things. However, that is just me. Everyone is different. My mom and my sister really enjoyed this kind of weather. My dad loved those sunny days, like me. Sunshine makes for much nicer photos too. The colors are much more vibrant when the sun shines. In winter, cloudy weather means mild weather.

Frosty by the river.
Sunshine means cold weather. Oh well. My Christmas cactus has finished blooming now. So it must be time to start thinking about putting away the Christmas decorations. Seems like I just put them out. Christmas comes and goes so fast. I hope you enjoy today’s winter pics. Have a great day everyone and God bless!

Yes, I do have bear spray, used it once too and it did work good. However, wind can be a problem for using that.
Happy New Year c.a.!!ππΊππ
