For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
DISCLAIMER: The following post is meant for humorous purposes and should be read in that context. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this today.
Hello everyone! Welcome back to Steve’s Country, where you can sit back, put your feet up and relax for a few minutes. Well, okay, it’s not a very long time for relaxing, but it depends on how many posts you would like to read. Okay, I won’t bore you with advertising old blog posts from the last few days.

But, if you like fun funnies, then you wouldn’t want to miss Muffin’s Funnies from Monday. She always has some good humor to share. Well, most of the time anyway. However, I wasn’t going to bore you with advertising old blog posts from the last few days. So I won’t do that.

But, if you like mysteries, with a twist, there is always The Investigators, Inc., which comes out with a new chapter nearly every day. Oops, wait, I’m not supposed to be boring you with advertising my own old posts, even though they’re not exactly old. I just started a new story on Monday, so chapter 3 comes out today. Oops, there I go again. I’ll stop now. Honest.
Unless of course…no, wait, I’m not doing anymore of that. Speaking of the weather. It has changed a bit. Actually, a lot. It is only 48F (9C) here today, a big difference from Monday’s high of 77F (25C). And there is a strong north wind today as well, and it’s mostly cloudy. The temperature is supposed to drop down to 37F (3C) tonight, with showers. At that temperature it could easily be snow flurries. I’ll check whenever I get up tonight. Which lately has been quite frequent.

Our hospital on an island.
That’s partly due to my neighbor who has friends coming and going at all hours of the night. Like last night. Two ladies left her apartment just after midnight, saying good bye, rather loudly, and waking me up. Perhaps I just go to bed too early.
But I like to sleep at night, unless I have something special to do, which doesn’t happen very often. Then at 4:30am, one of those ladies returned, knocking loudly and yelling “are you sitting on the toilet?” This is a rather odd way to be awakened in the morning. But it was certainly effective. Although it was an annoying way to wake up, it was also rather funny.

A small bay on our lake.
She didn’t get a response right away, likely because my neighbor was probably sleeping. Some people do that at night. Like me, for instance. She finally got a mumbled response from within so she said she would wait. Then she began to sing. Loudly. She can’t sing. Neither can I. But I don’t stand in the hallway at 4:30am to prove it to everyone. Sigh.
Speaking of photos. The photos today are from this past Monday when my friend took me to one of our parks for that purpose. The park is on the shore of our lake, so it makes for a very beautiful spot. It is also a bit hilly. There is grass on the hills. There was dew on the grass.

Another look across the bay with part of our town on the other side.
That combination makes for some slippery conditions. I found out on one such hill as I was going down that hill. My feet decided to try and outrun my body. However, my body made some amazing and heroic maneuvers to keep up with my feet. Therefore I managed to stay upright. Meaning, I didn’t fall.
Which was good. There were a lot of rocks in that particular area. So, falling would have been quite painful. It was painful anyway, due to those maneuvers mentioned previously. But it could have been worse.

We catch big fish in our lake.
Anyway, I am sharing some of those photos today. Hope you enjoy the photos and your few minutes of relaxation today here at Steve’s Country. Have a great day everyone and God bless!
