Thursday’s Pic Pick. #5

Hi everyone! Sorry for not being around for a couple of days, I have not been feeling well. Today we have cloudy skies, somewhere up there. I can’t actually see the clouds due to the snow. We are finally getting a snowstorm here. Everyone around us, even much further south, have been getting snow yet we didn’t even have enough snow to cover the grass.

That is about to change today with 4 to 6 inches (10 to 15cm) of snow forecast to fall today. We need it though with the colder temperatures we have been getting. The lake is freezing finally too, a little later than usual this year, but not a record late year.

Male Hairy Woodpecker getting sunflower seeds for it’s babies.

Anyway, here is today’s pic pick, a male hairy woodpecker picking out shelled sunflower seeds to feed his babies. The female would come and get them too and I have pictures of both. They did this every year. It was fun to watch them. Have a great day everyone and God bless!
