For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Good morning everyone! Okay, yes, it technically is afternoon. However, it is morning somewhere too. And someone could be reading from that patch of morning somewhere. So, my saying ‘good morning’ could resonate with that person and make them feel good. Then again, I could be dreaming, or I could be just plain strange. I would go with the last point. I’m just plain strange.
Winter does not want to leave us it seems. Monday morning the temperature was 10F (about -11C) with a strong north wind. It was cold. It did warm(?) up to 23F (-5C) by afternoon. Tuesday morning it was 8F (about -12C) with a north wind again. It was still cold. Last night it began to snow. It is still snowing. There is about 7 inches (17.5cm) of new snow on the ground. But warmer days are coming, so they tell us. Monday it is supposed to get colder again though. I figure the snow will be gone by about April 25 to 30. That’s based on my own forecasting inability.

I’m just plain strange.
Speaking of sewers. Do you remember that I mentioned about the replacing of our sewer system in this building? It was just the main sewer pipe from the building to the main sewer system. It was supposed to take 2 weeks, but they finished in just one week. Good thing. People kept forgetting that we were not allowed to flush toilets. They flushed toilets. The workers apparently did not like that. So, the management came door to door reminding everyone not to flush toilets or use any other drains.

Forgot to mention, the gulls have returned. This is an older photo of Sir George. I do miss my birds.
Speaking of fights. During that time a couple across the hall ended up with a screaming, yelling, swearing (all very loudly) in the hall because they slept in and couldn’t make coffee for breakfast. The man’s girlfriend went absolutely crazy angry because of no coffee. She was having a temper tantrum. It was amazing. It continued for about 20 minutes, then she went back to her apartment and he went to his and locked his door so she couldn’t get back in all day.
Speaking of neighbors. Another neighbor was doing some spring cleaning and put a few things in the hall to get it out of her way. It ended up being a huge pile of stuff so that when I went to check my mail, I had to walk sideways past it and I still barely made it. I made a complaint since that is not actually legal, it blocks fire exit access which could be very dangerous. She had it cleaned up by then and she claimed all she had in the hall was one small box of Christmas decorations. Next time I will take a picture. Sigh.

And my chipmunks!
Hmm, well, there is more, but I will leave it for another time. It has been a busy couple of weeks around here. It is still snowing. And something exciting. I bought more plants! More on that later. Have a great day everyone and God bless!
