The Investigators, Inc. The Case of Steve’s Daughter. Chapter 12. Going Home.

  1. The kidnapping took quite a toll on Steve and his team. Misty is subdued and not her cheerful self. They were on the edge of eternity and almost did not make it. Steve, Misty, and Steffie eating 17 donuts shows that they are recovering. One would think that many donuts would put them into a stupor from all the sugar and carbs. Kat learns she has the ability to heal more than trauma wounds. Samantha demonstrates her professional healing skills.

Wendy got away but she will return as an antagonist to Steve and the Investigators. Steve needs time to recover and can use his experience to direct the troops from a war room, not on the frontlines.

    • Yes, it will take some time for total recovery from our ordeal. And not just the physical toll, but the mental toll as well. I think Samantha will keep us on recovery for quite a while, especially Misty and I. Well, we do eat a lot of donuts, so maybe that helped. And all that time with no donuts was hard. Though we were groaning a bit at the end of it all. I think Jennifer will watch things more closely from now on. Yes, Kat has learned from this experience too, just like our other ghosts learned some new things as well. Friskie learned she can jump high, with a little help, and survive. Sky learned something new she can do with her electrical ability to help Friskie jump, plus she learned she can carry more than 2 people with her. Angel learned she can be an air conditioner. Steve learned he can be even more stupid than he realized. Oops, how did that get in there? Yes, Samantha is still a very important part of our medical team and we need her.

Yes, we had to let Wendy go free, even though she did have to pay a little for it which will go into our orphan fund. Yes, even directing things from home can still be important, plus I can be leader of the home team. The home team doesn’t have a leader right now. And I can direct things from home. Maybe what I need is a special home office that I can use to direct the other teams.πŸ€”πŸ‘©πŸ‘»πŸ˜ΌπŸ•΅οΈβ€β™‚οΈ

      • There is so much more teamwork and helping each other bloom win their gifting now. Steve needs to see himself differently and to know he is still an important leader, while commanding at home.

      • Yes, good teamwork will help us survive better and succeed more often. Yes, I do need to see things differently, but it’s hard when I’m a hands on kind of guy. I need to convince myself that I’m still working on the case even though I’m at home.
