For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Hello everyone! The birds are returning from the south in large numbers now. It sounds so nice in the morning with all the birds singing so cheerfully, even before the sun rises, and even while it’s still dark outside.
There are probably hundreds of little Dark-Eyed Juncos around our building, although there is getting to be less each day now as they begin going further north and spreading out into the surrounding forest. They will be marking out their territories and picking mates, getting ready for this year’s nesting season.

Some birds are already nesting, even in this cold weather we are still experiencing. Today was nicer, but mostly cloudy, which makes it feel a bit cooler. Today I thought it would be good to share with you a photo of these little juncos now that they have returned. Have a great weekend everyone and God bless!
