For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Good evening everyone! I have gotten a bit behind on my May photos, so I will catch up a bit this evening by giving you three of them. It has been so cold here the last few days, definitely not normal May weather! Watching it snow is not something I like to do in May. It should be warm. Temperatures should at least be in around 60 to 65F (15 to 18C) this time of year and instead we had three days with the temperature hovering around 34F (1C) during the day, and below freezing at night.
Oh well, today there was some improvement, with the temperature up at 45F (7C). However, the temperature outlook for May is for continuing below normal for the whole month. Normal does keep getting warmer though, so, below normal doesn’t necessarily mean freezing temps. Anyway, it was nice and sunny today, so that part was great! My plants enjoyed it too.

Speaking of plants. I need to repot my large aloe vera. However, I would like to do it on my balcony since it will likely make a mess which I would rather keep outside. I might need to wait until June before it’s warm enough though. But that’s okay. It will get done sooner or later.

Speaking of plant tables. Mine is getting rather crowded. So, I have some left over pieces of wood sitting in my hall closet, therefore I have decided to make an extra table, not something big, that way I can spread out my plants a bit more. As they grow more space will be needed anyway. And this is something I can do out on my balcony, even if it’s not that warm.

Back to photos. I am showing 3 more photos from my trip out the other day, one of a Common Loon, though it’s certainly not one of my better ones. It was closer to shore until I fell and scared it away. But, it’s something. The other two are Ring-Billed Gulls. I hope you enjoy them and hopefully next time the photos will be better. Have a nice day everyone and God bless!
