For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Greetings everyone! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend so far. It has been a cloudy, windy and very cool day here. The temperature did reach 41F (5C) today, colder than what had been forecast for us but with that strong NW wind it was not unexpected.
It was a good day to stay inside and make a mess, I mean, do some sorting of things. Someone on my floor, and in my wing of the building, was burning their food today. Someone else was smoking, actually in two apartments.

A look out across the lake from one of our parks.
One was tobacco and one was marijuana. Quite the mix really, and it all came in here, hurting my eyes and giving me a headache. Oh well, it could be worse, at least everyone was quiet today. It’s always nice when it’s quiet. I enjoy times of quietude.

Not too far from me was Mrs. Canada Goose watching me carefully.
That’s why it was always so nice walking down to the river and sitting there watching the water flow past, listening to the birds singing and watching the ducks and pelicans swimming on the river, or sitting on the rocky shore preening their feathers.

Although Mr. Canada Goose continued munching, he also kept an eye on me.
Well, I have finally caught up on my May photos and I will try to stay that way. I am sure not taking many photos since living in this apartment. So different from where I was living before, I was taking pictures every day. The pictures today were taken the other day when I was out, hope you enjoy them! Have a great weekend everyone and God bless!

Ah, the great Canada goose is back at it again now that winter has ended! 🪿✨ There is something so nostalgic about seeing them reclaim their space—it’s like the ultimate sign that spring has officially arrived. 🌷

Yes indeed, they arrive and take over quickly, already nesting even in this cold weather. Too bad the warm weather didn’t return with them! Enjoy your weekend Hilary! 😊☕☕
