For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Kat was certainly on a rampage after hearing what these people were saying about killing these poor women and girls once they were no longer useful to them. “No one wants those women and girls?” she asked, “Did you even try to find out if anyone wanted them? Or was it just that you didn’t want them anymore and you couldn’t let them go because then they would tell the police all about you? Or perhaps you feel that you’re above the law and therefore you would never go to jail for your actions anyway.” “Woman, you have no idea what you’re getting involved with,” said a man, “I’m a police officer, all of us are important people and we rule behind the scenes. No one will stop us, least of all you and this petty gang of thieves.”
Kat walked over to him as she was still on the table. “I may not stop all of you,” she said calmly, “but I can certainly stop you.” She then kicked him and he fell off his chair and onto the floor. Meanwhile the doctor had been checking each of the people she kicked. “They are all dead,” he exclaimed, “just with one kick you killed them!” “That’s right doc,” she said, “it only takes one kick from the Kat when she is angry, and I am angry right now.” “Do you plan on killing all of us?” asked Deborah. “Not a bad thought,” said Kat as she walked back over to her, “what is to stop me from doing that?”
The man sitting beside Deborah pulled out his gun. “This can stop you,” he said, “now, perhaps you and your friends should leave and we will forget about all of this, providing you leave us alone from now on.” It was about that time when Kat and Carine got a communication from Jennifer. Carine whispered to Aari, telling him what Jennifer had told her. Kat looked back at Aari who just nodded. She then turned back to the man with the gun. “Well, why don’t you shoot me?” she asked, “Or are you too afraid to shoot an unarmed woman? Oh, wait, you do that all the time. But this time the woman can fight back, right? So now you are hesitant, or maybe just afraid in case you miss, like the last man.”
“I never miss from this distance, or any distance,” he said, “now, get out or die!” “Go ahead and shoot,” said Kat, “unless you are afraid to kill me.” “I’m never afraid of killing anyone,” he said with a smile. He then shot 3 times but Kat stood there looking at him. Then she dropped to her knees and in a barely audible voice said, “I didn’t really think you would do it.” She then jumped to her feet laughing. “Surely you didn’t think you could kill me,” she said, “I’m the Kat and I’m already dead so it’s impossible to kill me. I didn’t have to let you shoot, I could have stopped your gun or paralyzed your hand or made your gun too hot to hold, like this.”
He immediately yelled and tossed his gun onto the table and Kat picked it up. “Now, Mr. Killer of women and young girls who can’t fight back,” she began, “I will fight back for all of them. I would let the police put you in jail, but you probably wouldn’t stay there long enough, if you even got there, so, I will put you in jail that you will stay in.” She then kicked him and he fell back against the wall, then onto the floor, dead. Then there was some crashing as two Wildcats came swirling through the windows! First they landed on the floor, then they jumped onto the table with Kat, each with a gun out.
“These two Wildcats used to be chained by people like you Deborah,” said Kat, “but now they are free. Now girls!” Amber and Acadia then shot the remaining people at that large table. Only Deborah remained. “I assume you will kill me as well,” she said. “It’s too bad little Debbie,” said Aari, “you chose the wrong path when you could have chosen one far better.” He then removed his dark glasses. She gasped a little and said, “It is…” But that is as far as she got and Carine held up her hand knocking Deborah back against the wall and she, too, died.
“Let’s go,” said Aari. Everyone left in a hurry and all of them were long gone by the time more of that “gang” showed up to see why no one had returned from the meeting. They didn’t know who had killed everyone though and these men didn’t know that when they entered the house they set off a little silent alarm that caused several packages on the upper floor to explode causing the house to be engulfed in flames very quickly. Fortunately Deborah, nor the others at the first meeting, ever told any of their friends about the problems they were having with the Black Wolves, so the Wolves and Wildcats were safe.
We were not able to put an end to these people and their atrocities, but we did stop one small group of them anyway and we remained anonymous to them which is a good thing too. Perhaps we will meet again, perhaps not. But for now the Black Wolves and Wildcats are on their way back home. Meanwhile, back at the chateau a slight problem had arisen. Steffie had come up to see me and Jennifer, but the door to my office was closed and she heard some of the things I had said to Jennifer which made her angry and she went back downstairs. Sky was at home now as well and as she checked for donuts she also heard me talking.
She has that ability which she used a lot at the beginning but hasn’t lately. Anyway, she didn’t like what she heard, especially since she was also guilty like the others. She turned invisible and went into the library where many of the girls had gathered after dinner to talk and they all had donuts. So, she went around and helped herself to 6 of them which she put in her little bag and suddenly she was standing in front of me with her head down and handed me her bag. She then sat on my lap and hugged me. “That won’t happen with me and my team ever again Steve,” she said, “after all, you are the Investigators.”
I thanked her but corrected her. “We all are the Investigators,” I said, “and we need each other and need to work together at all times if we want to succeed.” After a little while Jennifer sighed. “If you stay locked onto his lips,” she said, “then he won’t be able to eat his donuts.” Meanwhile, downstairs. “Hey Junior Sneaker First Class,” said Misty, “you look rather angry, what’s wrong?” “Not want to be Junior Sneaker or any Sneaker!” she exclaimed, “Sneakers are bad, aunties are bad!”
“Wait a minute,” said Friskie, “what way is that to talk to Misty or your other aunts?! You apologize!” “You treat daddy like he little boy that needs babysitting,” she said, “that is bad. Aunties do the same. But daddy is Top Leader of Vestigators! You tell me before that daddy was your super hero when you were little girl like me. Well, he still super hero to me!” That certainly made all the talking stop and silence prevailed in the library. Cristy had opened the speakers to the whole chateau, except to my office, so all could hear Steffie…
