Just Some Pics. #5

Hi everyone and happy weekend! I know, for some of us it isn’t quite the weekend yet. But for most, the weekend is already here. I was out this week, on Tuesday, taking pictures at some smaller lakes along our main highway.

A friend of mine always takes me out a few times each summer so I can get some different pictures than what I can get here in town. There are some very beautiful smaller lakes along that highway with lots of wildlife and wildflowers.

We didn’t really see much wildlife this time, but there were some insects of various kinds and I did get a picture of a wildflower that I haven’t seen in about 30 years, so that was certainly nice!

I won’t be showing that one today though, but it’s coming soon. Today I have 2 pictures of a beautiful flower called a Harebell, covered in drops of water from the previous day’s storm.

The other is an Ox-eye Daisy, also with drops of water on it. I hope you enjoy them. I will be back tomorrow with a Saturday Solitude post. Have a great weekend and God bless!

    • Many people call them bluebells here, but the real name is harebell. However, you are out west so likely have a different species even though it looks similar. Sometimes there is only microscopic differences, but that’s enough to make them different species. 😊📷

      • Too hot for me. It is 70 F now and our low is 53 F. It has been more rainy than normal so we have fewer wildfires. Rather have rain than eating smoke all summer.

      • Yep, too hot for me too, that heat is hitting me hard this year, never had such a problem before. I have a terrible headache, my face feels so hot, I’m tired and have a hard time breathing at times. I’m drinking water non stop too. Oh well, tomorrow will be our hottest day, by Wednesday it gets back down to more normal hot weather of low 80s. We have over 100 forest fires right now, mostly further north.

      • Trust the forecast is wrong and it will cool down earlier. A wet washcloth put in the freezer until frozen and placed on your neck might help.

      • I have done it with just using cold water on the washcloth, maybe the freezer idea might work. Our cold water isn’t actually cold anymore.
