Greetings everyone! Here I am with another bunch of pics for you to look at. It has certainly cooled off here now, today it was only 75F (24C), and we even had a light shower, very light. The humidity was still high though and my apartment is still hot, but it’s gradually cooling down after having two cool days in a row.
Speaking of smoke, we have some today, not as bad as I was expecting, but bad nevertheless. We have some forest fires again. That hot and dry weather we just had really dried out the ground, therefore forest fires pop up, 156 of them right now.
Macoun’s Arctic butterfly, only comes here every other year, always on even numbered years.
Striped Hairstreak, a very uncommon butterfly here.
Virginia Ctenuchid moth.
Anyway, for today’s photos I am sharing two butterflies and one moth that is often confused with being a butterfly since it is sort of colorful and it flies around during the day. I hope you enjoy them, have a wonderful day, or night, depending on where you live and God bless!

Yes, it is scary, fortunately nothing is too close to our town right now, but that could change quickly.😬🔥

You’re welcome, Steve. It’s 88F here at 4:45, which is not too bad for this time of the year. We have A/C, which I couldn’t live without. 😎☕☕⛅

I never liked A/C before, but the heat hit me so hard this year, which is so unusual for me, that I gave in a bought a portable unit, however, it’s only big enough to cool one room. 😃

Yes, I must admit it is nice to have when it gets unbearably hot. At least that way I get a good nights sleep.
