Greetings everyone on this first day of a new week! It has been another hot day here, though not like the hot weather we had earlier. But it was hot, and humid, and a bit smoky. Smoky skies seem to prevail in many countries right now with all the forest fires (oops, I mean wildfires, oops twice, I mean wildland fires).
It’s hard to remember what name I’m supposed to use now. But, whatever name is used, it means our forests are on fire. So far here in Ontario about 1.3 million acres of forest has burned. That’s a lot of trees and it is now our worst fire season on record, and there is still a lot of time left for more forest to burn.

Hopefully we will soon get some widespread rain to stop these fires. Anyway, on a brighter note, here are some beautiful wildflowers to enjoy that I found on our last trip out along the highway.

The beauty of small flowers ofttimes overlooked, is wonderful. Thanks for sharing. Your wild fires sound most unpleasant. Most summers we have smoke filled air but not this year. It has been a cold and rainy summer. It was 47F last night and feels like fall, which is early.
