For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Hi everyone! It was another hot and sunny day today, but that will be changing soon and it will feel cold due to the sudden change on Tuesday. Oh well. Could this mean the end of summer? It’s always possible, though it would be a couple weeks early if it did happen.
Anyway, thought I would show some nice relaxing, summer lake beauty today. Unfortunately there is a bit of smoke from forest fires, though mostly high flying smoke making it look rather cloudy even though it was a sunny day.

Although 80 forest fires are now out, there are still 159 burning with only 12 under control. Just two fires together total about 1 million acres. There are many other fires in the 40,000 to 125,000 acres in size.

But the cooler weather on the way will be a big help in slowing down these fires, especially if rain accompanies the cool weather. It is super dry in our area but thankfully there are no fires close to us.

Well, I hope you enjoy these photos today! Have a great week and God bless!

Your photos show a beautiful area. Too bad you have so many forest fires in your area. Your summer seems like a warm one. We have had a cold summer and a few days ago, about 100 miles from us, it got down to the 20’s F. We saw the first day over 80 F but it has been cold. Hope we don’t have another severe cold winter. Enjoy the rest of your summer.

It has been a hot summer, we haven’t had a summer like this one in many years. This is the way our weather was on a normal summer. Wow, that is cold for the beginning of August! It was just 60 here today with some light rain. That should help to slow those fires a bit. For us they are saying we could be in for another winter with little snow and mild, but that could change. Have a great week!šš·

Lovely photos, and I am glad the fires are not close to where you live. Hopefully, the cooler weather and rain will help snuff out those fires. šāāš§ļø
