For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Good evening everyone! I hope you don’t mind if I post some more photos today. I have posted photos of the Fragrant Water Lily before, but these are new ones from our trip last week. There is one lake, a small one, along our highway that has these incredibly beautiful flowers blooming all over the lake.
Well, not quite the entire lake, there are deeper sections that don’t have this water lilies. But one end of the lake, plus areas along the shoreline around most of the lake, are covered with lily pads and white lilies with their brilliant yellow centers.

I just love these water lilies and so do the flower flies and sometimes the bees like them too. A lot of them were still in the shade as the sun had not cleared the top of the trees yet.

The one photo shows a water lily in the process of opening and once the sun shines on it, then that will open it quickly to show forth it’s amazing beauty. Interestingly there are no yellow water lilies in this lake, just white ones. Most lakes seem to have both, if they have any at all.

They don’t show up on all lakes. I never get tired of taking pictures of wildflowers, even if I already have photos of them. I will still take more pictures. Well, I hope you all have a great week and God bless!
