For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Jennifer kept walking towards Wemyss as he stood against the wall, his bed burning beside him just 3 feet away! Wemyss began to scream and swing his arms at the ghost before him, but all he was doing was going right through her and he was wearing himself out rather quickly. Jennifer then grabbed him and threw him against another wall further from the flames which were now burning the wood all behind the bed. Wemyss was lying on the floor and suddenly the other men could see Jennifer and Kat, both frowning angrily at the men.
They were speechless as they watched the two ghosts walk together, merging into one! Kat told the men to take Wemyss out of the house or they would all die. One of the men looked firmly at Kat and began to walk towards her. Kat pointed at him and said, “Now, you will die!” The man fell to the floor, dead. The men looked at him, then over to Kat, but she was now gone. They tried to quickly pick up their guns but they were still too hot to touch them, so they decided to run away instead.
However, the two ghosts were waiting for the men in the hallway and the fight was on! Soon all three men were lying on the floor dead. Then they came back into the bedroom, grabbed Wemyss by his hands and began to drag him out of the house with him kicking and screaming all the way. Downstairs there were 3 other men who had heard all the commotion upstairs but were afraid to get involved. Now they saw Wemyss and it looked like he was being dragged by someone, or something, but they could see no one, so they just stood there looking while Wemyss yelled at them to fight the two women.
Then they watched as the door opened by itself, or so it looked anyway, and Wemyss was dragged outside and dropped onto the ground. “You 3 men get out of here too,” said Kat, “or you will die like your friends upstairs.” Then they saw a woman floating in the air and they ran out of the house, a couple of them actually stepping on Wemyss as they tried to get away as quickly as possible. One did stop and help Wemyss get into the car with the men and they drove away quickly.
Later that night Lola was awakened by the woman who shared the cell with her and she had a knife at Lola’s throat. “This is a little gift from Wemyss for you Lola,” she said, “he wants you dead because you are now a liability to him and his ambitions. I will be taking your place by his side and enjoying a life of ease and wealth. You were a fool not to help him when he needed it.” But a hand suddenly grabbed the woman’s wrist and pulled her hand away from Lola, then quickly her arm was pulled around behind her back.
“I don’t think you will be giving that gift to Lola tonight, or any night,” said Jennifer. “How did you get in here lady?” the woman asked, “Let go of me or I will call the guard!” “Go right ahead, she won’t hear you,” said Jennifer, then turning her around to face the now open door, “call as loud as you wish.” The woman yelled for the guard, but no one came. “Wemyss will kill you for this,” said the woman, “that guard works for him just like I do!” Then Jennifer had an idea and she took the woman to where the guard had been sitting watching the screen in front of her so she can keep an eye on the cells.
Sky had put her to sleep though and now she woke her up in time to see this woman with a knife at her throat. The guard screamed and another guard came to see what was going on. “Hey, it’s not me,” said the woman, “this lady is holding my hand at your throat!” “And what lady is that?” asked the second guard, “Is she invisible maybe?” The woman turned, but no one was there, however, Jennifer still held her hand that was holding the knife at the guard’s throat. The other guard moved quickly and pulled the woman’s hand away so the other guard could help hold the woman.
“Look, I’m telling you,” said the woman, “there was a lady holding my arm! She was in the cell and had somehow unlocked the cell door.” The guards took her back and the cell door was indeed open, but Lola was still inside. “I don’t want her in here with me,” said Lola, “she tried to kill me with a knife, then she left when she saw the door was open.” The second guard said they would put the other woman in a different cell and they locked Lola’s cell door. A little later Jennifer appeared in the cell with Lola. “How did you get in here?” asked Lola.
“Never mind that, why do you keep protecting Wemyss when he wants to kill you?” asked Jennifer. “I would never live long enough to testify,” she said, “Wemyss has guards working for him, cops that work for him and most lawyers in this city work for him. He has people working for him everywhere. At least if I stay quiet, maybe I will live.” “I doubt that Lola,” she said, “maybe you should think about it some more.” Then Jennifer walked out through the door which caused Lola to sit up fast, just staring.
Jennifer then communicated with me what Lola said and the next morning I told this to Fergus. He said he already knew Wemyss has two of his officers and some guards at the jail and prison, but finding out which ones is not easy. Meanwhile, the Black Wolves have been raiding all of Wemyss’ business ventures in Canada. It was fairly easy since there was only a few and they were all in the east of the country.
All this news about Wemyss and the collapsing of his whole company has investors running away very fast. Word is out that Wemyss is going insane too and that also makes investors pull out since he is the backbone of his whole corporation. But is this enough to put Wemyss out of business? We have discovered a weakness…
