For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Good Monday morning to each of you! Time for coffee and relaxing on the deck. It is a beautiful, sunshiny morning with just a light breeze and warming up quickly. My little apartment never cooled off last night so today it will get worse than yesterday in here I am sure. Outside the heat does not seem so bad, but inside it feels much worse for some reason.
Tomorrow will be much cooler, then it starts to warm up again, but not as high temps as yesterday and today. I do not mind the hot days, they never last very long and for us the nights are normally cool. Except last night. Not much activity outside these days, although the chipmunks are a bit more regular in their visits now. At least 4 of them anyway. That would be Choco, Skitter, Pocket and Crunchy.

Skamper comes now and then, like yesterday, and he still remains very friendly even though I do not see him much anymore. Crunchy was on the feeder Saturday picking up what sunflower seeds he could find and Jasmine came up. I guess she did not expect Crunchy to be there and Crunchy did not like being trapped on the feeder by Jasmine. So the 2 of them chased each other around the feeder and finally Crunchy jumped off to the ground.

That is a 10 foot drop. Poor little guy. Yesterday Jasmine was on the feeder and Crunchy came up quickly not realizing she was there. Jasmine did not know who it was that came up since her back was turned and Crunchy ended up chasing her around in circles until she finally jumped over the edge. That is a 10 foot drop. Poor Jasmine. Crunchy looked over the edge. I think he was giggling.

Jasmine came back later after Crunchy left and came up very cautiously onto the feeder, stretching to see if anyone was there before she made the final climb. I must admit, it was all quite comical. Maybe one of these days she will learn to get along with the chipmunks, like Jasper and Slim. Oh well. Some nice wildflower photos to begin your week today. Have a most wonderful Monday and God bless!

Say what you will about healthy eating and all, but I’ve always found it awfully difficult to explain to my son (who’s 6’4″ to my 6′ in height), why junk food is bad for you.

My wife claims I’m a baseball fanatic. She says all I ever read about is baseball. All I ever talk about is baseball. All I ever think about is baseball.
I told her she’s way off base.

A customer asked his barber, “When would be the best time to bring in my two-year-old son?”
Without hesitation, the barber answered, “When he’s four.”

“Your call is very important to us. Please enjoy this 40-minute flute solo.”

“The starting pay is $40,000. Later it can go up to $80,000.” “Great. I’ll start later.”

I was in a taxi today and the driver said, “I love my job. I’m my own boss. Nobody tells me what to do.”
Then I said: “Turn left here.”

I’m a multitasker. I can listen, ignore and forget all at the same time!

Well, that is all for today folks! I hope you were able to enjoy something from the list. Have a marvelous Monday and God bless!
