For a smile as wide as a country sunrise

Hello everyone! Welcome back to Nature’s Art! You were probably wondering what happened to this one, it didn’t show up at all last week. Unfortunately since I was sick last week things got a bit mixed up for my posts. However, Nature’s Art will be reduced for a bit, only coming out on Tuesdays (possibly Saturday as well, not sure yet) and Darting Dragonflies will be moved to Thursdays. I am making some adjustments to my posts for a little while due to this Covid-19 virus which is kind of messing things up a bit which means I can’t get out and add new pictures to use for my posts. And this problem might persist for a while yet. So a few minor changes are necessary. But I will still be doing my Daily Pics, mystery story, coffee posts, award posts and others, so I hope you will keep coming around, Muffin and I always enjoy having you come to visit with us!
And now for some art in nature from a few days ago…

Remember I mentioned before when we got that freezing rain and it covered everything with about 3/4 of an inch of ice, a rather dangerous time, but it did produce some extra beauty too which stayed with us for 3 days.
The trees were truly sparkling in the sun and looked fantastic against the brilliant blue of the sky.
Even the dried out stems of last year’s flowers were covered with ice creating a new beauty for the landscape.
Well, I hope you have enjoyed today’s art in nature, our 40th such post! There is a lot of beauty out there for us to enjoy, we just need to stop and take a look at it. And hopefully some warmer beauty will arrive in the near future as well! I trust you are all having a wonderful day, stay safe and God bless!

Good morning everyone! I’m up early again this morning, but it’s not Muffin’s fault, I got up early myself. Mainly because I’m going shopping this morning at 7. Mind you, I didn’t get up at 3, but I was up early anyway. I do like getting up early though, I’m an early morning person, always have been. I was even born early in the morning. And Muffin is definitely an early morning cat. It was cold yesterday, especially after the clouds moved in. Much too cold for this time of year, and even colder today. But by the weekend we should be seeing more normal temps. It was supposed to start earlier, but those warmer temps seem to keep getting pushed back. Oh well, eventually it will warm up. I hope. Pocket is getting braver each day. I’m sure he would be crawling all over me by now if it was warm enough to sit out there for a while each day. But I don’t plan on sitting outside in the cold. I think something happened to Rusty though, he hasn’t been around for a couple days now, will find out for sure when it warms up.
And now for some nice sunny, summer birds…

Here, above, we have a nice family of mallards with mom in the lead. The ducklings are already about half size in this picture. And they all seem to be quite happy.
And then we have this beautiful “common loon” enjoying swimming around in that lovely blue water on a warm morning in June. He and his mate just seemed to be out enjoying a relaxing swim.
I hope you all have a wonderful Tuesday, please stay safe and God bless!
Steve and Muffin.
