Daily Pics #127.
Good morning everyone! It is another sunny day here and quite mild for early morning, though it really isn’t too early today. I’m way behind in my post today, sometimes things happen. Yesterday was a beautiful day, a great day for a walk to the river and get a few more pics. Though the birds were not cooperating too well yesterday. The ducks decided the opposite shore of the river was the best place to find food I guess, so that’s where they stayed. And while I’m busy focusing on one thing, a beautiful bald eagle came diving down and caught itself a nice fish, about 2 feet (about 60cm) in length and hauled it off to a tree on the opposite side of the river. Happened too fast for me to get a picture of it. With all the eagles we have around here, and there are a lot, I still haven’t managed to get a picture of one. So sad. But one of these days it will happen, I hope. Things are starting to grow once again, as evidenced by the daylily in the above pic. And the sun and warmth return after long periods of cloud and snow. But sometimes patience is needed.
And now for some more spring pics to share with you…
In the above pic is a beautiful white-throated sparrow, one of our largest, under my bird feeder picking up seeds that have been dropped on the ground by birds at the feeder. This is an early morning pic.
In the above pic is “Scramble”, one of many squirrels along the path to the river. This one is getting braver all the time and hopefully I will be able to get him to come right to me in time.

- What inspires your writing? Steve= a lot of things really, including nature and, um, well, uh, well, just too many things to list! But, Muffin is the one who inspires me the most! Whew, almost forgot.
- What’s your favorite food? Muffin=MAPLE cake and anything else my human eats! Especially when he isn’t watching.
- If you could be on one TV show… what would it be? Steve=None, I don’t watch TV. That was easy, I like easy.
- Where do you call home? Muffin=Anywhere with my human! Like his bed, his chair, his lap (especially if he has food close by).
- What has been your greatest moment thus far in 2020? Steve=Making it this far. Meow!=No good! No good? Meow!=No! Oh. How about, walking down to the river, something that I wasn’t so sure would happen again after my accident. Meow.=Better. Thanks. Meow.=Welcome.
- What are your three goals for 2020? Muffin=Sleep, eat, make sure my human gets plenty of exercise.
- What is your favorite movie of all time? Steve=That’s a tough one, I’ll pick two “The Noose Hangs High” and “Double Wedding”. Muffin=Not know what it called, but has Rusty the cat, smartest cat in whole world.
