Hello everyone!  Here we are with another nice mild day in January.  Well, it was mild anyway, the wind has switched to the north and is very strong bringing with it some cooler weather which is supposed to stay with us for the next 2 weeks.  But it is winter, must expect things like this to happen.  It would be an odd winter not to have cold weather.  It would be nice, but odd.  Oh well, I can dream.  Warm weather, palm trees, ocean waves crashing onto the beach.  Sigh.  Dreams are nice though, and help me get through our long winters.😎🌴

Someone’s birthday is coming up.  January 10th is the big day when Muffin turns 8!  Big party plans, her favorite birthday cake (maple flavored), fun games, tropical theme decorations (if I can find some).  It will be great fun.  I’m sure she would be meowing with delight if everyone could say “happy birthday” to her on her big day.😺 Speaking of Muffin, I nearly got trampled by her Friday night.  Up to the bedroom window she ran, pouncing on me in the process.  She looked, she growled.  Then down and off to the living room window, pouncing on me in the process.  Okay, I had to get up for this one.  I come out to the living room and in the window, looking inside, a FACE!!

It startled me at first, though I realized right away it wasn’t a human face.  It was a cat face.  But more than just an ordinary cat face.  This was a wild cat face, a bobcat!  Cool, my first bobcat on my deck!  That I know of anyway.  And he left some very clear tracks for me too which helped to identify it since they are quite similar to the Canada lynx.  No wonder Muffin was so excited, though less excited to have it up so close, she wouldn’t go near the window for that one.  Guess it was worth getting trampled after all.  Now if it would just come around during the day so I could get a pic of it, that would be real exciting.  But nice anyway.

Now a bit of this and that.  My Nature’s art pics will be on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from now on.  I’m keeping the daily pics as normal.  But I may not keep on with flowers since I am running out of different flower pics.  I do have lots of pics, but they are the same flowers, just at different angles.  My new fictional mystery series will be Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  Also, on my home page you can find a page with links to all the chapters of this mystery story.  Also on my home page will be another page with links to all my poems, just in case you would like to find them easier.  It might take a couple more days to get all the links on that page however.  But it will be there tomorrow.

Monday will also be my “Coffee with Steve” series.  And Tuesday and Thursday will be a new series “Touring my Town”.  Plus poems, awards, “Muffin’s Meows” and adventures will be scattered here and there.  So I hope you will enjoy some of these minor changes and new additions.  Have a wonderful week everyone and God bless!
