Greetings everyone on this very chilly Monday morning. The weather has certainly turned cold for us here in the north. The poor little birds look like little balls, bouncing around on their stomachs. They are still on their feet, but their feet are completely hidden with feathers now that they are fluffed out so much, trying to keep warm. So they need lots of good energy food which they get from sunflower seeds and peanuts. Hard to stand outside with bare hands now trying to get pictures of them, but I’ll still try. That’s me. But for now it’s time for some nice warm pictures for this cold day…
A nice bright and sunny chrysanthemum to start things off for us today.
And now the bold pink of a geranium. Bringing with it the bold warmth of a summer day. So nice to remember those warm summer days, especially when it’s so cold.

Good morning everyone on this chilly Sunday morning here at Steve’s Country! But it’s nice and warm inside anyway. Muffin is at her watch looking out the window, not sure what she looks at in the dark, but she does seem to enjoy herself. Lately she seems to have her days and nights mixed up. I think she deliberately stays up at night so she can use my laptop and talk with all her friends. Okay, I’m crazy. It’s all this time sitting inside for the last 10 weeks that’s doing it to me. I think it’s time for more of those bright and cheerful flowers…
Starting with a lovely two tone pink hollyhock. This one has a double set of petals besides, making it even more beautiful.
And now the brilliant white of the potentilla. I showed a single flower a while back, here we have a group shot. Notice the nice stars in the center of the flowers?
