For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Hello once again everyone on this rather cool Tuesday! After the beautiful warm weather we had last week, this week feels terribly cold in comparison. It is only 59F (15C) today, with clouds and some rain. Too cool for summer. Did I ever mention that I like warm places? I do. I really, really do. Sigh. One of these days.
Okay, weather report is over. Now, on to the new award. I have been nominated for the Blogger Recognition Award! This is a first for me. I was nominated by Laura over at https://lavent69.blog and I would just like to thank you very much Laura for thinking of me and nominating me for this wonderful award! If you have never been to Laura’s blog before then I suggest that you should check it out and see what you have been missing.
The Blogger Recognition Award is an online award given by bloggers to other bloggers as a way to recognize the efforts they put into their site.
Thank you once again Laura for this award nomination, it is much appreciated.
As you can see, there are no questions for this award. Therefore you don’t need to worry about me answering and saying that I love warm places. Oops, I think I did it again. Okay, a brief story.
Well, my blog started with my first post and finally I got to this point. How’s that? Brief enough? Too short? MEOW!! Hey!! WAIT!! Okay, I’ll make it a little longer. She was sleeping. How did she know?? A few more details. Hmm. It was some friends that suggested I should start a blog since I enjoyed writing so much and they always enjoyed the things I wrote. It was mostly my style of writing I think, I’m not like most people, I can have a rather unique way of writing. I don’t follow the rules of grammar. Sometimes my sentences are rather short. Really short. One or two words short. Sort of. See? So after thinking about it for awhile I decided to give it a try. My first attempt was on another platform and that didn’t work too well. Then I was told about WordPress so tried again and things worked out a lot better here. So there you have it, how things got started. I think.
Two pieces of advice for new bloggers;
1. Right about something you enjoy and know something about. Don’t write what others tell you, it is your blog and must be your writing or you will not enjoy it and you will soon give up.
2. Start writing. Use pictures. Preferably your own, it helps to make your blog you by using your own photos.
Okay, now some nominees for this one, hmm, let’s see;

Good morning to everyone no matter where you are in this big beautiful world we live in! Yes, I know it may not be morning when you read this. But, it is morning here. At least right now. And it is a beautiful morning. Here we are with part 3 of our thankfulness series. And this is all about letting all of you know that I am so grateful for your continued support of me and my blog. And Muffin too of course!! Whew. That was close. Feet are intact. Everything is good.
So today I say ‘hi’ to my friend Lillian over at https://orkidedatter.com who lives in Norway and has been a supporter of my blog for several months now. I don’t think she ever misses even one post. Thank you so much Lillian for all your wonderful support for myself and Muffin. Here is what Lillian has to say;
Thank you so much Steve, who is the author behind the blogg Steve’s country.
I love to make a delicious cup of coffee and settle in my favorite place in the living room. Here I open the blog of Steve and I come into his world and get warm in my heart. He writes about his cat Muffin that I think is absolutely adorable and he describes their days. He makes me smile and I just relax with his post. He shares his collections of older things. Something I find interesting and it gives me the best childhood memories that remind me of my grandparents. The Muffin is still a little “beauti flower”, and as I realize she has a heart of gold.
Steve also takes pictures of the nature and animals he experiences there. The pictures are lovely and I get a wonderful experience of some other animals that I do not experience in Norway. I look at the pictures and enjoy the beautiful animals along with the mood of his words. I understand that Steve loves nature and he gets peace of mind and of his little birds and squirrels. I see he gets in touch with these little ones. It’s totally magical. Thank you so much Steve for that I can follow you and join you in your world. I am so grateful.
Please do visit Steve and you get a ride in his world you never forget, and the touch with nature is indescribable.
-Lillian-
Thank you once again Lillian for your kind words and for being a part of Steve’s Country now for quite some time. It is a real joy to have you here! Muffin also purrs her gratitude for the wonderful things you say about her.
Thank you to every one of you for being part of Steve’s Country and joining us here today! I hope you all have a wonderful day and God bless!
Steve and Muffin.
