For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Good morning everyone! It was another beautiful sunrise again this morning. It was beautiful and clear early on, the sun rose at about 8:12 and it was cloudy about 20 minutes later. Again I had trouble capturing the whole sunrise in photos, but I have a couple nice pics to show you anyway. The sky, color and clouds kept changing the whole time which helped to give a different look about every 3 minutes.
We had more snow yesterday, I think it was close to 2 inches (5cm). I will need to make a trip down to the main floor a bit earlier to check how much snow we get. The guy that shovels the sidewalks starts quite early in the morning. I think all of our gulls are gone now, I have not seen any for a few days now. It is very slippery out this morning, cars are having trouble stopping, they just slide through the intersection.

Sunrise this morning, from my window.
That new snow yesterday did not help things, it just made the icy conditions worse. Oh well. I have not seen any birds this morning, not even a raven. But, I guess I will not see many birds this winter. I finally finished fixing my fall wreath, it was damaged during my recent move. It is a little late though since it is now winter. Time to dig out my Christmas wreath instead.
I could actually have a small Christmas tree this year, there is room for it by the door to the balcony. But then I would have to buy more decorations too. So I probably will not do that. But, you never know with me, I do strange things sometimes. At least, that is what people tell me.

At this point the sun was just beginning to peek over the horizon, I could not get it in the pic though.
I never think of what I do as being strange. I always think of what I do as being normal. My mom would always start to put out Christmas decorations on November 1, or when the snow arrived, whichever came first. Maybe I should start doing that as well. Hmm.
Well, my geraniums have transitioned to indoor life very well again. They spend more time indoors than outdoors. They do not usually bloom too often indoors though, but that is okay. My African violets bloom most of the time anyway.

Here is another look at part of my insulator collection, sorry it is so dark.
I only have 3 of them left though, 4 others did not like the move and they wilted completely. These things happen. Of the ones I have left, one is dark purple and the other two are purple and white flowers. I might get some more of them, but no one has them in stock right now.
I might have to wait until January for new ones to show up at the stores. It is the last day of October, winter began 6 days ago. Time flies. Well, I hope you all have a wonderful day and God bless!

Hi to everyone! I back again at right time today. Guess “discussion” yesterday with my human work good. I hope you all having good day so far. It cold outside, but nice and toasty warm in here. Well, I get right with funny for today…
A minister was planning a wedding at the close of the Sunday morning service.
After the benediction, he had planned to call the couple down for a brief ceremony in front of the congregation.
For the life of him, he couldn’t think of the names of those who were to be married.
“Will those wanting to get married please come to the front?” he requested.
Immediately, nine single ladies, six single men, three widows, and four widowers stepped to the front.
