What Is The Sunshine Blogger Award?

The Sunshine Blogger Award is peers recognition award for bloggers who inspire readers by promoting positivity and bringing joy.

Okay, now it’s question time!

My Questions:

What are your hobbies and how did you get into them?

Hey, we would be here all day if I listed all my hobbies.  Okay, let’s start with insulator collecting. Those are the glass and porcelain things that hold wires to telephone, hydro and originally, telegraph poles. My Dad liked them and finally after a long time managed to convince me to collect as well.  Next, mineral samples.  This started as collecting rocks as a kid and gradually refined to collecting minerals from around the world. Now I try to stay with smaller samples. I will stop there.

What was your favorite age growing up?

I have to grow up? Nobody ever tells me these things. To be quite honest, I can’t think of a favorite age. MEOW! Oh, Muffin says when she was a year and a half, that’s when I adopted her, so that was her favorite age.

Was the last thing you read digital or in print?

Well, I’m doing this right now, so guess that would be digital. If you are referring to a book, then print.

What makes you feel most accomplished?

After I have accomplished a goal. I have a goal for this year, well, more than one, but one main goal, and I will definitely feel very accomplished after that goal is achieved.  Sorry, it’s a secret.

What do you regret not doing in the last year?

That’s a good question. I like good questions. Meow, meow, meow. Muffin says, not catching a chipmunk.  Hey, Muffin likes to join in too.😹

If you got to name a new country, how would you decide what to call it?

If I was single at the time, I would call it Steve’s Country, and if I was married I would call it after my wife’s name.  That was too easy.

What do you value the most in friendship?

Friends.  Gets easier all the time. Okay, I will add, trust, honesty, love, sharing, caring, giving. Could probably make a longer list, but I’ll stop there.

On what topic or topics, you would never make jokes?

Religion, sex.

How do you deal with negative emotions?

Does banging my head against the wall count?😂That was just a joke, to clarify. Meow. Muffin would like to share how she deals with it.  Chomp!  AAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!! My foot! Bandages!😲😹

Your ideal vacation?

Sorry, another secret.

When was the last time you cried? Why?

When my last cat died.

    Oh wow you’ll name the country under your wife name (of course when both are there 😊) this is cool

  16. I had a very good friend who collected insulators. We had great fun going on junking trips to find them (and other treasures!). I love to read these award posts and your answers, they are always both fun and make me laugh but also are so inspiring to me. Your answer to ‘the things you would never make jokes about’ struck me very powerfully. Part of the abuse I escaped was having adults making inappropriate jokes about both to me, as a small child. I am so glad to know there are many out there with integrity and who wouldn’t dare ‘go there’. Thank you for that. I love your blog as well as your integrity, your heart, and the way you pick up on the good, Godly things of wonder in this world. ❤️ Keep up the great work and tell Muffin hello from an admirer!!
