For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
City By The Sea…A Poem.
CITY BY THE SEA
There is a city by the sea,
Always filled with warmth and beauty.
A place where the sun shines each day,
And palms, in the breeze, gently sway.
Blue is the color of the sea,
With sparkles shining, all for free.
Gulls flying by with noisy cry,
Doves cooing all day, right close by.
Mountains around all the city,
Giving the place such great beauty.
Such narrow streets in the old town,
Make it so special on it’s own.
The castle atop this one hill,
Destroyed in war, so terrible.
But what a place it is today,
A picture perfect place to play.
From such a height to view the land,
Far out to sea, what wonder grand.
The beauty of the buildings here,
To everyone soon does appear.
I saw this city by the sea,
A few days it was home to me.
It was wondrous to see this sight,
The city of Nice, day and night.
