For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Hello everyone out there around the world today! It is the last day of September. I don’t know what it’s like where you live, but here it is a very cool, rainy day. Actually, it has been that way most every day this month. Some days do start out sunny, but by noon the clouds have returned and so has the rain. So I thought a little sunshine is needed for today. Therefore I am going to share some nice bright pictures of flowers to end the month.
Some bright yellow, sunny daylilies above are sure to brighten a rainy day.
Followed by the orange splendor daylily above, surely it can bring sunshine into a cloudy and rainy day.
And the wonderful beauty of a pink summer rose with it’s scent filling the air as we walk past.
Just a few beautiful selections to remind us of the sun that is always shining, even on a cloudy day. I hope you all have a wonderful Monday carrying on through the whole week and God bless!
Steve and Muffin.

Our temperatures are only half what they should be, but except for 3 days, it’s been like that since mid August. We are actually setting records for cold and rain this autumn. Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderful week!😁😸🍁🍂

Thank you for stopping by! Sorry for the late reply, your comment went to spam and I forgot to check yesterday. I wish our weather would warm up, even a little more, but it’s good if you need rain, would you like some of ours?😂😀🌧 I hope you have a great day!😃🌞😺

It’s -2 degrees Celsius in Calgary today and there’s snow on the ground. Yuck. ☹️ Makes me want a hot coffee or tea to warm up but I’m stuck with plain water….
Your photos are really lovely🌺 Will you be taking nature pics once there’s snow on the ground where you are?

It would be terrible to get snow so early!😕
Oh yes, lots of snow pics coming up for sure. But at least I won’t be like last year and have 7 months of snow pics! I have lots of summer pics to use this winter too in order to break things up a bit.
I’m sure people were getting a bit tired of seeing snow pics last winter. A whole new group of birds are around in winter and the deer are more plentiful too.
Hopefully I can keep walking my path to the river at least for a while to get some winter pics along there as well.
At least that snow should melt, hope you can have a great week anyway Hilary! Thanks for stopping by!😃😺🌞🍁🍂

I was hoping to publish a blog post today, but I’m having a hard time writing tonight. Just found out that my grandmother passed away this evening. 3 people I knew passed away this month + my cousin’s dog. 🥀
As long as it doesn’t snow too much where you are, it should be safe walking to the river. Avoid icy trails – I slipped on the slushy walkway today on campus. It wasn’t icy but it sure was slippery! I feel that a lot of readers don’t get snow where they live so snow is a novelty thing to them. I doubt that they get tired seeing snow pics ❄️

Sorry to here your grandmother passed away Hilary. I know that’s never an easy thing.
In a normal winter we can get between 6 and 8 feet of snow over the whole winter,😵😥 not all at once. And there are 4 areas of the path that are quite steep, 2 are especially steep. But just going to the river should be okay. Unless no else is using the path, then it could be tricky especially if we get a big storm.😬
Last winter by February people were asking me if we have snow year round here!☃❄ And that they could never live in a place that had snow for so long. And we still had snow on the ground until the end of April!😂😹 I’m really hoping for a more normal winter this year.
I hope you have a better day today Hilary!😀🌞

You’ll think I’m crazy but I love your winters 🙂 For a number of years I lived in northern Minnesota. I’d take cold weather over hot any day. It is just so incredibly humid here that it sucks the very life right out of me! Ugh. It should be cooler here now but the heat is trying to hang on well into this Fall season.
Want to switch? Ha ha. Wishing you a wonderfully blessed day too my friend.

Amazing that you would prefer our winters to heat.😳 I’ll take heat any day!😂 I realize it can be hard at times, but 7 months of winter isn’t fun either,🥶 at least not for me. But everyone’s different, wish I could send you some cold!😀
