For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Here we are at Friday already and the first in our new Friday series of pictures for you to enjoy! So welcome everyone on this very wet and cold October Friday.
That’s a male spruce grouse in the above picture, a common bird in this area.
A very bright yellow mushroom with a white stem. The top flattens as the mushroom matures. Also found in red and pink, all with white stems. They have a very waxy, almost a plastic feel to the tops.
Above is a wild onion, often found on our rocky hills.
Above is a black bear with brown fur. These are often called cinnamon bears in this area.
Well, that’s it for today’s mixed up bunch of photos, more coming on Sunday’s regular feature of photos. I hope you have enjoyed this selection, have a great weekend everyone and God bless!

True rain is necessary, but too much can cause a lot of damage as it is now doing here and will right through till spring.

Thanks Simon! Yes, wild onions, they do produce a small onion, mild flavor. But they are quite rare now since people have picked them so much.😀📷
