Nature’s Art #2.

Hello everyone and welcome to our second look at art in nature.  There is so much around that we overlook as we go about our day.  Often we need to slow down a bit and start to notice some of these things.  And you don’t need to be in a country location to see a lot of these things.  They can be found right in your own neighborhood or in a park and even right in your own yard.  So let’s take a look at today’s selection…IMG_8411

I just thought this little grouping of mushrooms and white pine cone looked rather cool together and a worthy addition to my collection of nature’s art.IMG_9978

Now here is a mushroom I thought was exceptionally cool.  Don’t you agree?  Not only that, I found 2 of them, and not even close to being in the same location.  They really made my day bright with a smile.

There we have our second look at nature’s art, the next one will be coming on Friday.  Please let me know if you enjoy this new series.  A very Happy Monday to everyone and God bless!

  1. I love this new series ! The last mushroom reminded me of the human heart…you can actually see two hearts…a small one within the large one ! A double pleasure !

  2. Are these mushrooms edible, Steve? Have you heard of mushroom coffee?🍄+ ☕️ =❣️ Yeah, I know.

The heart mushroom is really neat. I would be tempted to eat it if it wasn’t poisonous. Usually the prettiest things in nature are also the most toxic. Btw I drank coffee yesterday evening because I had terrible stomach pains and coffee is very soothing. The coffee (the non-mushroom variety) was really delicious. ♥️☕️

    • Hi Hilary! Somehow I can’t imagine mushroom coffee being to great. But, to be honest, I don’t really care for flavored coffees. That is regular coffee that has a flavor with it.
I don’t know if these mushrooms are edible or not. I don’t really know anything about mushrooms. I did just get a couple books however so I hope to identify some of the ones I saw. I took pics of them from different angles so I should be able to identify them. One problem is that most mushroom books are only about edible varieties, I want to identify them all, so one is a rather large book. We do have a lot of poisonous mushrooms in this area, including at least one that is poisonous even to touch. I think I may have seen that one, but I have so many pics it will probably take all winter to go through them all. I will be doing some mushroom posts as I identify them.
I love mushrooms so if there is something easy to identify I will definitely try it out. I have picked and eaten wild mushrooms before but I can’t remember what they looked like. Sigh. But it’s going to be fun just trying to identify them and try to find more different ones next year.
Back to coffee now? Or was that just a treat? Thanks for stopping by Hilary.
I found 2 of those heart shaped mushrooms, about 2km apart, but they must just be oddities, couldn’t find any in the book. Will be interesting to see if any show up next year.
      Have a great evening!!😁😸🍄
