Good morning and Happy Saturday to everyone! It’s definitely a cold one out there today. Chilly too. Not a good day to be standing outside with a camera taking pictures. Although the sun will be shining, so maybe…I doubt it. But it’s always possible with me. I do strange things sometimes. Well, okay, I do strange things a lot. I inherited that from my dad. My mom always agreed with that. The birds were very active at the feeders again yesterday. Perhaps their natural food supply is running low now. This is such a different winter. There are lots of purple finches and goldfinches this winter, birds that don’t stay the winter. I have never seen a goldfinch here in winter, purple finches yes, but only 2 or 3, there is at least 29 here this winter. But no grosbeaks or redpolls which are the normal winter birds.
Now, instead of cold sunshine, let’s have some warm sunshine…
I’m not sure if these are wild or a garden variety of something, but whatever they are, they certainly are bright and cheerful looking.
And here we have the birdfoot trefoil, a very bright and sunny little flower that grow in masses of yellow almost everywhere that is an open sunny location.
And there is today’s wildflower selection for us, I hope you have enjoyed them. And I hope you have a truly sunny weekend and God bless!
