Nature’s Art #43.

Hello everyone and welcome back to our art in nature series for this week!  I trust that all of you are having a good week so far.  Our weather has certainly cooled off a lot from those beautiful days we experienced last week.  But that is quite typical for us up here in the north.  Though this cool weather seems to be getting extended longer each year.  If this keeps up we may not have spring at all after a few years.  Just kind of go from winter to summer.  Sir George is getting earlier all the time, because it’s getting daylight earlier.  Sitting on the feeder, going “yep, yep, yep”, trying to get my attention to bring the food out.  I need to start getting up earlier too, get into my summer schedule.  I don’t like lying in bed when it’s already daylight.  So during the summer I always get up earlier.  Baxter and Benson have been busy here this morning, they are 2 of my blue jays, and they come to get peanuts and bring them back to their mates who are sitting on eggs now.

And now for some spring art in nature pics to share with you…

Here we have a large hole in a large red pine tree, so nicely carved out.  Perhaps a new nesting spot for the pileated woodpeckers that live in the area?  I haven’t seen any activity there yet, but then, I’m not around there that much.  Might have to wait until they actually have some young ones.  At least I’m hoping, that would make for some great pics.IMG_3727

And here we have a nice canopy of white pine branches to give some shade on a sunny day as we sit on the bench overlooking the river.IMG_3877

And these same branches showing off their beautiful patterns of pine needles in the bright sunshine.  And there we have our look at today’s art in nature, I hope you like this selection.  Have a wonderful day everyone, stay safe and God bless!

  1. That’s really beautiful, I was about to ask who made such a big hole on that beautiful tree, turns out to be nature’s act of surviving. So I am not asking that. 🤔 Out of questions. Lovely pictures Steve, Have a beautiful day 💐✨

    • Thanks Simon! Oddly, the woodpecker hole won’t harm the tree any. They will probably end up using that same spot for years of happy nesting!💕 Enjoy your evening Simon!😁😸🌙

      • Yup, that won’t hurt. But this Mosquito bites definitely hurts… 🙄🦟 They sing so badly near my ears, they clearly knows that I can’t hear them from far so they sing close to my ears. I wish they get a good vocal trainer to train them a sweet Lullaby 😹😜😂

      • Are you still having problems with those mosquitoes? I know what to do, hang a sign on the door saying NO mosquitoes allowed! Make sure to draw a mosquito on there too with a line through it just in case they can’t read.😄😸😂😹
