Steve’s Bird Of The Day #10.

Hi everyone and welcome back! Here we have another one of our large sparrows, the white-throated sparrow. There are four large sparrows here, we already saw the Harris’ sparrow and there are 2 more that we will see soon. This sparrow really shows up nicely with it’s bright head colors, both males and females are the same though at one time it was thought that a duller version of this sparrow was the female, we will see that one tomorrow. This is one of the first sparrows back in the spring and one of the last to leave in the fall. They are easily attracted to seeds scattered on the ground and will come to feeders as well. Have a wonderful day everyone and God bless!

    • Possibly they are the ones called house, or English, sparrows which seem to be all over the world now. They are noisy and not true sparrows even though their name suggests they are. Thanks so much Ribana!😀😺📷

    • Yes, I like these sparrows, one of our most common in this area. Staying indoors these days is definitely a good idea, and with coffee always handy!😀😺☕
