For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Country sunrise, breaks o’er the hill,
Awakes the land, quiet and still.
Oh listen now, birds sing so clear,
Wondrous music, beauty to hear.
Country sunrise, across the land,
Warming the day, smiling so grand.
Kissing each leaf, of every tree,
Wondrous beauty, for us to see.
Country sunrise, now warms the soil,
So that each plant, may have less toil.
Soon the flowers begin to show,
In the sunlight, their colors glow.
Country sunrise, and all the while,
It gives to us, the widest smile.

Yep, so was I. As they say in the old country, “having a picnic on a steep hill is like having a bonfire in a wooden boat in the middle of a lake. Both will land you at the bottom.”

Yep, getting photos matched with poems, though I’m having some trouble getting the right pics for some of the poems. Might have to wait until spring starts looking like spring so I can get some photos to match. But it’s getting there.ππΈπ»π»
