Sunday’s Sunshine #11.
Good morning everyone on this cool and rainy Sunday! Even when clouds, rain and storms come along, it’s always good to remember that the sun still shines. It’s just hidden from view for a short time, but it will be back again bringing with it warmth and cheerfulness again. Both rain and sun are needed for good healthy growth, in the natural world and in our lives as well.
There’s no squirrels around this morning so the chipmunks are making the most of that and have been very busy hauling away the peanuts that I put out for them this morning. Even the rain doesn’t stop them. They are hard little workers. Though they do take time out to have their “discussions”. Important things like, ‘I was here first’, ‘I’m the top chipmunk’, ‘the giant likes me best’. And they will take time to play with me too. They do seem to enjoy playing. Such as, elevator rides, hang gliding and racing.
Plus they are sensitive little critters too. I was sitting outside with them and Skamper came along. He looked at the peanuts, then at me. He could tell something wasn’t quite right, so he climbed up my arm onto my shoulder, reached over, and touched my cheek with his nose. Then he ran down, picked up his peanuts and off he went. Hmm, a little thunder in the distance. That was enough for Muffin and she is now under the bed. She is going to have a rough morning.
Something was on my deck again last night, however I don’t know what, I was too tired to get up and look. Muffin went to the window and checked for me. It sounded like something big. And it was moving things around. When I went out to feed Sir George this morning I expected to see some mess out there. I was surprised. Nothing had been touched, nothing out of place. Perhaps Muffin and I were just hearing things. I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday and God bless!

Daylilly, Geranium, Dahlia all are my favorite flowers 😍 so beautiful as they always do 💐 and are you sure that wasn’t bear? check for bear lice and clean that place 😐 for good 😇 Had good time with critters 😉 Have a lovely Sunday 😎🤗

Yep! I thought I heard someone in my house last night about 3:30… grabbed my flashlight and checked it out, must have been imagining it! Oh well… At least it was something exciting for change.😂😂

I have to identify them first, never knew there were so many different species of these little damselflies. I think there is 2 species, but a male and female of each. But it will be one day this week. Also got 4 different dragonflies. Missed a nice shiny green one though, hope I can get it yet. Some of these dragonflies are only around a week or two and their season is done.😳🐉🛫

Yep, some species stay around a month or so, but there are so many species that there is always some around. We have some that are around most of the summer too.

My electricity just came back on… it was out from 5:20 to about 7:30… it was was getting pretty toasty in my house!🥵

Well, at least you got to warm up for a while! It was sunny, very windy and 77 here today, north wind now which is going to cool things off tonight again. Sigh.🙄

Great flowers Steve ! …it is quite warm here…28 Celsius …not as windy…no rain…squirrels very active ! …I feel sorry for Muffin ! 😢☕️☕️🙂😎
