Sunday’s Sunshine #23.

Good morning and Happy Sunday everyone! It’s a very cool and very wet morning once again. We have had over 2 inches (5cm) of rain now. We have been getting a lot of rain lately, not like some areas get I realize, but still, for us it’s a lot of rain in a short time. I imagine the river is rising quite a bit now. And the path to the river will be very wet in places.

The river on a nice summer day.

Plus the rock areas will be wet and slippery, something I have had experience with before, and don’t want to experience again. However, I have good waterproof hiking boots now and they do work good. It would be very nice to get back down there again, providing it stops raining long enough to make a trip down there. I don’t like getting wet when the weather is cool like this.

Nice sunny “impatiens”.

On a warm summer day it’s fine, but it’s too cool now. My chipmunks seem to be disappearing. Yesterday there was only 4 of them and this morning when they are normally the busiest, there is only 3 out there, Skamper, Coffee and Choco. I may have missed one or two, but I was deliberately watching for them this morning just to see. If they are already going to their little dens, that would be very early. And that would just be another sign that it’s going to be an early winter.

A nice sunny flower, not sure what it is, it’s about 3 inches (7.5cm) across.

The birds are leaving early this year, that’s usually the first indication of an early winter. But they could be wrong, sometimes that does happen. Usually they are very good with their forecasting though. Just have to wait and see. No matter what, early or normal, winter is not far away. That reminds me, I need to get my bird feeder fixed very soon. I hope you all have a wonderful day and God bless!

      • Fix the feeder, once it is dry, until it is not dry don’t try, watch the steps, it will be slippery when it’s wet πŸ˜‰β˜ΊοΈ
