For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Good morning to everyone! And a very big Happy Monday as well! It is early again today. And dark still. Much like yesterday really. We did get another 2 inches (5cm) of snow yesterday. But it was the light fluffy kind of snow, easy to sweep away with the broom. Muffin and I are up a little earlier than normal today. But that is okay, I want to start my summer schedule anyway, which means getting up no later than 5am.
It was nice yesterday, even though cloudy. I think the sun came out a few times in the afternoon. This morning it looks like it is clear. At least out in the east where daylight is beginning to show quite a bit now. The days keep getting longer, which is so nice. The days are so short in the winter. But summer makes up for it. Even though it has been a rather tough winter, it has still gone by quite quickly. Although it is not over with yet. We are getting some mild weather here for a few days, but on Wednesday it will be back to colder weather again for at least a week. Much colder than normal once again. Oh well.
Spring will arrive eventually. Jasper came around once yesterday, that I noticed, but he did not stay long. He ate some sunflower seeds, then came down and took a peanut and off he went. There were a lot of evening grosbeaks again yesterday. And they stayed around for a long time too. Plus lots of redpolls, chickadees and nuthatches. Oh, and the blue jays and woodpeckers too. And the crows. But they were only here for a short time in the morning.
The birds are much more perky these days, now that it is milder. I can actually see their legs and feet now. And the little nuthatches do not have to keep stopping to warm their feet while eating. I am sure they like this weather better than that bitter cold. Just like me. Or perhaps I am just imagining it. Oh well. Just a short post this morning. This is my morning to go shopping, and I go early. Though not quite this early, but soon. Have a great Monday everyone, thanks for stopping by and God bless!

Seems like the North stopped by for a visit! We got a fair bit of snow!

That’s good! That should help provide some needed moisture I guess. Though it does make things a bit messy for a bit.

That’s my normal time for spring through fall. But June and July I like to be up at 4am to watch the sunrise.

What time do you go to bed?

Usually around 10pm, sometimes 9:30pm. Sorry for not using the 24 hour time that is used over there.

I wonder if Jasper is finding food elsewhere?

That is quite possible, he does live quite a distance away.
