Hello once again everyone! It is a wet and windy day here with a temp of only 48F (9C). After having those hot days this feels quite cold. Quite amazing how I went from trying to cool my apartment one day to trying to keep it warm the next day. But this is Canada and up here in the north we can get wild swings in the weather, even on the same day sometimes. And tomorrow we go back to hotter temps again followed by cooler temps the remainder of the week.
But for today, another look at nature’s beauty, this time the bright green new growth found on this balsam fir in the above photo. It is always a wonderful sight to see when trees begin their new growing season. Thank you for taking a look today! Have a wonderful Sunday and God bless!

It’s so nice to walk outside, whatever the season, and find yourself surrounded with all the wonder and beauty of nature.
But the weather really has been crazy lately, Steve, the average temperature here was 100+ a few days ago.. now it’s dropped to somewhere around 80s before it’s supposed to shoot back up again.

Hi Sheri! Yes, that is so very true. Yep, same with our weather, just goes up and down. We were 90 on Friday, and today only 65, back up to 85 tomorrow, then down to 70 on Tuesday. Of course its not too normal for us to get hot weather so when it gets over 80 that’s a real bonus!

My cousin has one m two balsam tree and i love them. It grows gracefully💗 that’s a quick wild swing of nature. Do Muffin 🐱 likes it 🤔 poor she, and lucky too she don’t need to cover like us 😂. Have a warm Sunday 💝🤗

It did turn out to be a nice sunny warm day, got up to 17C!🌞😎 But that strong north wind was cold.🥶 Warming up tomorrow though,😁🌞 then back to cooler weather.🥶🙄 Muffin likes the cooler weather!😻😺

Balsam tree seems to come from Semitic languages like Aramaic , Arabic and Hebrew languages .
They look like Cedars or pine trees?

They are a coniferous tree like pine, but look more like a spruce tree.🌲

Wow, seems like it is always so cold where you are! What is the warmest that it usually gets in the summer?

Oddly enough we can hit 100 in summer, but highs around 80 are more common. We sometimes get summers with temps never getting above 65 to 75. Over the last 20 years our summers have been getting shorter and cooler and winters are getting longer and colder. Kind of odd really. Mid June to mid August is our warmest time normally.

Wow, that’s fascinating how extreme the weather gets. Where I am (PA, USA) the summers can be very hot, 80-90 F. But the winters are pretty mild.
