Looking At Insects. #30 Dragonfly.

Hi again everyone! Here we are with another insect for us to look at. I know many people don’t like dragonflies, but I really enjoy them, and this one is called the “Autumn Meadowhawk”, and this is the female, the male is red. The various meadowhawk dragonflies like to hold their wings forward, unlike most other dragonflies. This species is quite small, just 1.3 inches (32mm) in length. They can be found from late July to late October, they are the latest dragonfly we have. Have a great day everyone and God bless!

    • I just used my camera. It is a Canon Powershot, I never keep track of the settings however. Sorry about that. I had to slowly walk 20 feet through 3 ft tall grass, without scaring her, to get close enough for the photo. A picture of the male will show up tomorrow. 😊😺📷🐉🪰
