For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Hello once again everyone! When summer temperatures cool off, they really do. Yesterday it was mainly cloudy with a high of 67F (19.6C). Last night the temp dropped to just 48F (9C). Today the high is expected to be 59F (15C). To me temperatures like that are more like fall , or autumn if you prefer, not summer. That was certainly a sudden change in the weather. Sitting here typing I actually feel quite chilly.
There is a light shower out there right now as well. We are supposed to get showers all day. This kind of weather gets me stiffened up. Minor detail. Even Muffin feels cold, so she decided to come and sit with me. There are some gulls flying around this morning, I haven’t heard or seen any other birds all morning though. It’s a very gray, kind of hazy day out there. But, all in all, it’s still a beautiful day.

Another lake that we stopped at on our day trip.
Easy to tell that the street is wet as the cars drive by. It sure feels like fall, except everything is still nice and green. There is not really much happening these days. I need to get out and clean up my flowers on the balcony today. Some have gotten so tall that they can’t stand up straight anymore. So, it’s time to give them a bit of a haircut. Nothing major.

Another abundant wildflower that day was the Pearly Everlasting.
Just cut them back a bit so they will spread out more instead of concentrating on growing upwards. I also need to do some dusting again. This place sure gets dusty quickly. Hmm, Muffin is sleeping on her head again. She looks cute that way. Oops, she changed position. I was going to try and get a picture of her but guess my movement kind of woke her up a bit. Oh well.

Close up of the Pearly Everlasting.
Maybe she will do it again. She was really running around this morning. I think she is enjoying the cooler temps. She needs the exercise. Someone else needs the exercise too, but I won’t mention names. It wouldn’t be polite. Well, time for lunch, have a great day everyone and God bless!
