For a smile as wide as a country sunrise
Hello everyone and welcome back to another fun filled fun post with fun funny humor to give you a giggle, a laugh, or maybe even a groan! It turned out to be another nice day with sunny skies filled with cloudiness. Plus a nice fall temperature of 73F (23C) and the next 3 days are supposed to be even nicer. It was colder the beginning of August than it is now. Kind of interesting how that works sometimes. But, that nice weather isn’t going to last, Sunday it begins to cool off as we get back to more normal September temperatures. Happy September, by the way! This is the month that really transitions us into the much cooler temperatures of fall, before that other season of the year arrives that I don’t like to talk about. So, I won’t talk anymore, I will just share some humor for today…

The boss of a big company needed to call one of his employees about an urgent problem with one of the main computers.
He dialed the employee’s home phone number and was greeted with a child’s whispered, “Hello?”
Feeling put out at the inconvenience of having to talk to a youngster, the boss asked, “Is your Daddy home?”
“Yes,” whispered the small voice.
“May I talk with him?” the man asked. To the surprise of the boss, the small voice whispered, “No.”
Wanting to talk with an adult, the boss asked, “Is your Mommy there?”
“Yes,” came the answer.
“May I talk with her?” Again the small voice whispered, “No.”
Knowing it was unlikely a young child would be left home alone, the boss decided to just leave a message with the person who should be there to watch over the child.
“Is there anyone else there in your house?” the boss asked the child.
“Yes,” whispered the child, “a policeman.”
Wondering what a cop would be doing at his employee’s home, the boss asked, “May I speak with the policeman?”
“No, he’s busy,” whispered the child.
“Busy doing what?” asked the boss.
“Talking to Daddy and Mommy and the fireman,” came the whispered answer.
Growing concerned and even worried as he heard what sounded like a helicopter through the phone’s earpiece, the boss asked, “What is that noise?”
“A hello-copper,” answered the whispering voice.
“What is going on there?” asked the boss, now alarmed.
In an awed hushed voice, the child answered, “The search team just landed the hello-copter.”
Alarmed, concerned, and more than just a little frustrated, the boss asked, “What are they searching for?”
Still whispering, the young voice replied, along with a muffled giggle: “Me.”

A guy walks into the human resources department of a large company and hands the executive his application. The executive begins to scan the sheet, and notices that the applicant has been fired from every job he has ever held.
“I must say,” says the executive, “your work history is terrible. You’ve been fired from every job.”
“Yes,” says the man.
“Well,” continues the executive, “there’s not much positive in that.”
“Hey!” says the guy as he pokes the application, “At least I’m not a quitter.”

Wanting to be married, a couple came to the county courthouse where I work. But they accidentally walked up to the offices where hunting licenses are sold.
“We’re from out of state,” said the prospective groom. “Can we get a license?”
The clerk replied, “No, but I can give you a three-day permit.”

A freshman at Eagle Rock Junior High won first prize at the Greater Idaho Falls Science Fair. In her project she urged people to sign a petition demanding strict control or total elimination of the chemical “dihydrogen monoxide.” And for plenty of good reasons, since:
1. It can cause excessive sweating and vomiting.
2. It is a major component in acid rain.
3. It can cause severe burns in its gaseous state.
4. Accidental inhalation can kill you.
5. It contributes to erosion.
6. It decreases effectiveness of automobile brakes.
7. It has been found in tumors of terminal cancer patients.
She asked 50 people if they supported a ban of the chemical. Forty-three (43) said yes, six (6) were undecided, and the last one?
Well, only one (1) knew that the chemical, dihydrogen monoxide, was water (H2O). The title of her prize winning project: “How Gullible Are We?”

That’s it for today, I hope you all have a wonderful week and God bless!
