Muffin’s Meows. #1😺

Hi to all my human people friends and all my cat people friends! Muffin here again with my very first post of this year! My human and I had a talk about that one already. Good thing he have those big towels to soak up all the little red fountains on his feet. I don’t even have to dig my claws in very deep. I think he have weak skin or something. My human do strange things sometimes. He moving all these glass bubbles other day, he call them instant ladders, or something like that.

He catch me cat napping.

He have strange names for some of his collecting things. I think he collect dust too, sure lots around here. I help him do dusting, I go swish, swish with my tail, then my human make loud roaring sound which he call sneezing. See? He have strange names for everything! Oh wait, almost forgot. Back up to those glass bubbles again, I think my name better than his name. I mean, what kind of name is instant ladders? Very strange indeed.

Anyway, he moving those things around from one shelf to another shelf. That kind of strange too. They sit on shelf. He move them. They still sit on shelf. What he gain on that? Should just leave on first shelf, save time and energy. Sometimes I worry about him. Hey, today my birthday party! It not really my birthday, that last Monday, but we not able to have party then, so we have today instead! Oh, we have so much fun! We play run around table! That work good until my human hit head on table.

Letting my human take picture of me.

Not know why he do that, must hurt. But he do human purring again, oh, so nice of him to do that for my birthday party! Then we play skiffle ball with my fuzzy ball, it going good, but my human kind of clumsy sometimes. Once when I hit fuzzy ball back to him it go off to side a bit and my human make dive for it and hit head on chair. Then he lie on floor on his tummy. He never lie on tummy, too hard for him to get up again. So not know why he do that.

So I go sit on his back, maybe that help massage back. He just mumble into carpet and wave arms. Very strange reaction. Oops, forget again, back to glass bubbles. Anyway, he moving these bubbles to other shelf and he carry 3 in one hand and 2 in other. I think maybe he should only carry one in each hand. But he not listen to me. One slip off his finger and bounce off toes! Oh, the funny faces he made!! I laugh until tummy hurt! He so funny.

Another try at cupcakes, yummy!

And yesterday he want to make delicious cupcakes for my birthday party. So I go watch, maybe he drop egg again like last time. But no egg. Instead when he pick up cupcake pan to put in big hot box thing he drop it on floor instead. Wow, all that just for me! My human just sit down of floor with cupcake gooey stuff all over feet and legs making strange noises, kinda like, “waaaaah”! Very strange, not hear that before. And he put hands on face, filled with gooey stuff which he now have on face. Then he do very big sigh, and do more human purring. He so nice human.

Then he want picture of me today. Not like pictures, so I run, and he run behind me with phone camera thing. I run into bedroom and onto to bed. My human chase me looking into his phone camera thing and “thunk”, he kick stool, phone thing go flying, I chase. My human sit on stool and do human purring again. Wow, talk about great birthday party! Thank you everyone for reading my post! Hope your day good like mine!

Sunny Sunday. #3

Good morning on this beautiful Sunday! It is 16F (-9C) this morning and will be going up to 23F (-5C) by this afternoon, a wonderful, mild day in January. We had just a bit of snow overnight, about 1 inch (2.5cm) which is not so bad. But it did mean I had to clean off all the bird feeders this morning when I went out to put fresh seeds out for the birds. The chickadees were already there trying to dig through the snow to find seeds. It does not work so good for the chickadees. Redpolls are better at getting through the snow, even though they are the same size as the chickadees.

A beautiful zinnia.

But because they are often ground feeders they know how to scratch through the snow with their feet. Heavy clouds this morning keeping things rather dull and darker out there. The evening and pine grosbeaks have arrived and are very busily feasting on their breakfast of sunflower seeds. The blue jays just arrived, they are a bit late today. Jasper has been here as well, likely hiding more peanuts in that bucket outside. He puts them in the bucket, I put them back on the step.

A nice sunny zinnia.

He must be wondering why that bucket never fills up. I don’t mind taking his peanuts because he always has a good supply here anyway. Heavy clouds for my sunny Sunday post. But always remember, no matter how cloudy it is, the sun is always there and continues to shine. And we will soon see it again. It’s the same when clouds enter our lives, in the form of discouragement, problems, depression, always remember, the sun continues to shine and we will see it back again.

Another bright zinnia.

We all too often focus on the negative that surrounds us when we should be focusing on the positive that also surrounds us. There is always positive things around us, but because we focus on the negative, we do not see the positive. Positive equals sunshine. Well, just a short post this morning, but I will be back this afternoon, maybe Muffin will be as well. Muffin’s birthday was this past Monday, but we had to postpone her birthday celebration until today. Please make her happy by wishing her a happy birthday! She turned 11 this year and is still nice and lively. Thanks for joining us today, have a wonderful Sunday and God bless!
