For a smile as wide as a country sunrise

Branches covered with new snow,
Makes it hard to run, you know.
But that squirrel doesn’t see
Problems here, he runs with glee!
Running fast he clears the snow,
Pushing it all down below.
On some branches he will run
Upside down, while having fun.
How he does that, I don’t know,
Shouldn’t he fall in the snow?
Then he goes right down the tree,
Disappears in front of me.
He runs so fast through the snow,
Rarely stops, and never slow.
But…then he sits beside a tree,
With yummy snacks he got from me.
Now sitting there with his food,
He chatters, thanks, this is good!

Hello once again everyone! Welcome to the third in this series of “Touring My Town”. This time it will be mostly a picture tour of different sights around town with a few comments tossed in here and there. I will talk more of the town probably next time, though I want to do a couple more picture tours as well.
So here we go…

Coming into town from the west we see our new tourist info building. Kind of large, but it is used for other things too.
As we keep coming into town we see our local radio station building, with docking space and a nice smaller houseboat in front.
Then comes our local area hospital which is situated on Tunnel Island.
Just past the hospital, back on mainland again, we can look across the bay towards our downtown section. The MS Kenora cruise boat is off to the left, with planes sitting off to the right side.
Then just coming into the downtown section is our town office building. It was built in 1898 and was first used for the post office and customs building. We now have a new larger post office building. This town is very spread out making it look much larger than it really is as it follows along the north shore of the lake.
Well, that’s the beginning of our photo tour around town, there will be more next time. I hope everyone has a great week and God bless!
Steve and Muffin.
