Sunshine Blogger Award!

Hello and welcome dear readers to another aware post.  It is quite amazing how they just keep coming in and there are more to come yet.  However, since poor Muffin is feeling a bit left out, I am going to share with her.  Besides, it saves my feet.  This award was given to me by Snigdha Deka over at https://soulsearcher.life and she has a great blog about lifestyle, fashion, nature, minimalism (okay, this one I find hard to understand, though in a small place like mine it would probably be a good thing, hope this doesn’t get me in trouble😀), and, as she says, random thoughts.  If you haven’t checked her blog before please do.  Thank you very much Snigdha for thinking of me for this award.downloadfile-72983873633631014117

  3. Which is that one song currently stuck in your head?  Well, actually, what was that Muffin? Meow, Meow, Meow!😹She says nothing can get stuck in my head because there is too much space to move around.  Hey!  That wasn’t very nice!

  10. Which is your most embarassing childhood memory?  You really must be joking.😂😂😂

Canada’s Splendor.

Welcome everyone to something a little different here on Steve’s Country today.  I was chosen by Lillian at https://orkidedatter.wordpress.com to participate in the Traveling Blog Journal.  This idea was begun by Nova over at https://mynamaste365online.blog and all of the destinations can be found over with her. Thank you Lillian for picking me for this fabulous idea!  This is also quite the challenge since Canada is such a large country and has so much to see in it’s cities and diverse cultures available throughout the country.  But especially the natural beauty of it’s landscape and the wonderful and diverse flora and fauna that is available here.  So, let’s start our journey on the east coast and head west from there.Peggys cove

In the picture above we have a famous landmark, the lighthouse at Peggy’s Cove in the province of Nova Scotia.maple-syrup-1169896_1920

The above photo shows the gathering of maple sap for making maple syrup, a big industry from New Brunswick, to Quebec and Ontario.  The best maple syrup comes from Canada, but I may be a bit biased in saying that!quebec-2131892_1920

Above we see Le Chateau Frontenac in old Quebec City, a very famous hotel with wonderful architecture and a must to see when touring Canada.buildings-2297210_1920

Next we see the skyline of Canada’s largest city, Toronto, which is also the capital city of my home province of Ontario.  Some 6 million people call Greater Toronto their home.ottawa-815375_1920

Here we see Canada’s parliament building located in our country’s capital of Ottawa, also located in Ontario.  It’s a beautiful old building and also a must to see when in Canada.niagara-1590345_1920

Also in Ontario is the world famous and very beautiful Niagara Falls.  This actually sits right on the border with the U.S. and the falls is divided between the 2 countries, but this is the Canadian side which is amazing in its grandeur.  If planning a trip to Canada, this is definitely a worthwhile stop.  Then we cross the prairies which is, well, flat.  Lots of grain fields as far as the eye can see and beyond.  Very flat.  What more can be said.  Until we come to Alberta, and below we see the city of Edmonton.edmonton-77735_1920

Alberta actually has 2 fairly large cities, Edmonton and Calgary which is a bit further south.  Most of our oil and gas comes from this province.  But it also has breathtaking beauty as we enter the rocky mountains.alberta-2297204_1920rocky-mountains-384683_1920

Both Alberta and B.C. share these majestic mountains and it is where some of our best skiing resorts are located.skiing-721804_1920

Enough of the winter look, I’m not a big fan of winter or winter activities, but if you are, then this is the place to come.hotel-prince-of-wales-657635_1920

Above we see the beautiful Hotel Prince of Wales located in Alberta on the Upper Waterton Lake.  This was built by the Great Northern Railway in 1927 and it has kept it’s original beauty inside and out.  And with the fabulous scenery, it’s a great place to spend some time.vancouver-2613994_1920

Finally on the west coast we see a small part of the city of Vancouver, Canada’s third largest city.  But before we wrap up this brief journey, we should not forget the abundant wildlife that Canada also has to offer.

Well folks, there you have a very brief look at the very large country of Canada.  There really is something to see and do for everyone.  But I hope you have enjoyed this tour.  Now I pass this along to Margo at https://mbodypower479768866.wordpress.com to continue the Traveling Blog Journal.  Margo lives in Australia and I know she will have a wonderful tour for us, so please check out her blog.  I am quite certain she will have a wonderful tour for us.

Until later, I hope you are having a wonderful day and God bless!

Steve and Muffin.
