Little Birds…A Poem.

Little Birds

Though it is cold, I like to stand,

With seeds upon my outstretched hand,

And little birds will come so free,

I talk to them, and they to me.

Amazing thing when they will land,

So freely there upon my hand.

I find it always so much fun,

Especially when there’s more than one.

They’ll sit upon my arm and head,

All waiting for their turn, instead

Of going to the feeder where

The seeds they want, they can get there.

But this can bring such joy I find,

It is a great way to unwind.

Stress always flies away with wings,

And happiness it always brings.

    • Thanks so much! You might be surprised, but it does help to have a bird feeder, sometimes, but some species are hard to attract to your hand. I have had several different species on my hands. But animals of all kinds just seem to like me, which makes it easier. Thanks for reading, have a wonderful weekend!😃😺⛄🌲

      • Thanks, Steve—yes all well here. Raking leaves and now shoveling snow. Interesting listening to the testimonies in Congress. Hmmm….who would have known Ukraine would be in the spotlight? Made me sit back and consider what I would say if…
        But I’m glad for our President and for not backing down to the radical left. Again! Going to be another interesting year ahead with elections coming. I hope we see better relations with Ukraine, Russia and the rest of the Slavic nation. I hope.

        And I hope all is well with you and Muffin. It must drive her crazy when little birdies sit on your hand….teehee🙀

      • I haven’t really been paying attention to what’s going on. Seems like a lot of time and money spent for nothing. The election is close, why not let the people decide? Then they could pay attention to other things, like the operations of the country. But that’s just me, I don’t know much. I have a hard enough time trying to figure out what I should do.😂😂😹😹
        Yes, Muffin sits in the window shaking her head in disbelief. 🙀😼😾😂🦶😼😳

      • Yes, I agree—lots of time and money spent on what seems to be such silliness. And yet—so much that’s been festering is coming to light. And that is a good thing. Brighter days ahead. 🌈
        But hey we’ve had drug dealers move in next door and I can tell you they don’t make very nice neighbors. Even broke our security gate. Not very nice at all. The audacity. So sad actually the increase we’ve seen in meth and heroine here. So destructive what it does to the brain. Talk about hard time figuring out what to do! They are up all hours of the night pacing. Torture.
        Hey you know more than most! You talk to birds—and they listen. Even Muffin can’t believe it! If only more people knew what you know…

      • I do hope it’s brighter ahead and that things backfire for “D”. Meth and heroine are a big problem here too, with 4 gangs looking for the most influence. Well, I guess just 3. Hell’s Angels hold top spot here. I’m sure they control everything with the other 3 fighting among themselves. Terrible really. A small town and it’s not safe to be out at night. Sigh. Sometimes not safe during the day either.
        Enjoy your shoveling, guess you’re finished by now. I have to disturb Muffin so I can get ready for my appointment. She won’t be happy.😾😾
