Another look at frost on the window

Hello again everyone!  Those poor little birds out there in this cold.  And it’s going to get worse this coming week, terrible thought.  So I won’t think about it, maybe it will go away.  Somehow I doubt it though.  Muffin certainly enjoyed her birthday yesterday, lots of energy, lots of playtime, lots of cake.  I think I enjoyed it too. 😂😹 This is good weather to stay indoors, wrapped in a blanket, drinking coffee and eating leftover birthday cake.  Yes, I had some for breakfast.  Don’t want to waste it after all.  Sigh.  That “cabin fever” is hitting again.  Basically it means I would like to do something different, but the weather won’t allow that just yet.

So we may as well enjoy some more art found in nature…

Some more summer flowers gone to seed.  Even in winter those summer flowers still have some beauty.IMG_0999

I may have used these before, but they are quite interesting so here they are again.  I think maybe I will use more summer time art in nature from now on, but still include winter art as well.

  4. Enjoyed your photos, Steve. It makes me want to share some of the winter wonderland in my area. The hoarfrost covers all the trees, signs, telephone poles, and even the outside of houses with shards of twinkling sparkling white! Even in the -30’s to -45 F the animals still come out to forage. Around here it is moose and always lots of ravens. Don’t let cabin fever get to you. Before you know it, Spring will bring longer times of sunlight and warmer temperatures. Muffin and you stay warm!

    • Thank you so much! We don’t see moose around here much anymore, there used to be a lot, but now it’s necessary to go a little further north. Ravens take over the town in winter but hardly see them once the gulls come back in spring. Cabin fever has been especially bad this year since I have been mainly stuck indoors the last 3 1/2 months since my injury. I can get out a bit more now but with the return of cold I need to stay inside due to other health problems. Yes, spring is coming for sure. And warm pics help remind me of that.😀Thanks for stopping by!

    • Thanks so much for stopping by! We are getting a bit of a break for a couple days, then back to the deep freeze. I think the cabin fever is worse because I have been basically stuck indoors for the last 3 months due to my injury. Now that I can get out a bit more it’s too cold! Oh well. Enjoy your day!😁😸
