Hi everyone! I hope you are all having a great day! It is a very nice mild day here. I went outside this afternoon and the sun was shining on my deck, and the snow was actually melting leaving water laying around. The temp is 26F (-3C), but that sun is getting stronger every day and being higher in the sky, the snow will still melt even when the temp isn’t warm enough. But because of the milder weather there hasn’t been much activity at the bird feeders. The squirrel, however, was certainly having fun again running through the branches of the trees. He has a regular “highway” as he runs along the branches from tree to tree. So much fun to watch him go, clearing snow off branches as he runs along. There is a lot of beauty to see out there if we just take some time to look for it.
And now for our art in nature pics for today…
This little mushroom looks like it has a delicious caramel top on it. The white is just the glare from the sun hitting it when I took the picture. It is very smooth and almost waxy. Unfortunately I don’t know the name yet or if it is edible.
I don’t know the name of these alien looking mushrooms either, but I did find a lot of them in one area along my forest path.
There we have our pics for today, I certainly hope you have enjoyed them, enjoy your day and God bless!
