Hello everyone! It is such a beautiful sunny day, although a bit cooler. Still, it is very nice weather for the end of February. Perhaps Muffin’s forecast of an early spring will turn out to be correct! That would certainly be nice if it’s true. Speaking of Muffin, she is enjoying her nap in the sun again. And probably dreaming of the time when the chipmunks will be back. I spoke too soon, she’s awake now and looking for something to eat. She always likes a little snack when she wakes up, not a lot, but she likes to nibble a bit after time in the sun. It’s also nice to sit here right now with the sun shining on me as I type. There is a few chickadees and purple finches at the feeders right now, getting their last meal of the day before they head across the street to sit in the pines for the night. I’m looking forward to walking down to the river once again and getting some spring pictures once the snow clears off the path.
But for now we will look at some pics from last year…
This is a really cool little mushroom that I thought would be easy to identify, but so far I haven’t been able to do so.
This one is a single mushroom, stem in the center, but almost split in two. I like to call it a butterfly mushroom. I haven’t tried to identify this one yet and though it looks like an oddity, it wasn’t the only one I found in this shape.
So there we have our art in nature pics for today. Sorry I’m a bit slow getting these posts out today. Hopefully things will be more normal tomorrow. I hope you all have a wonderful day and God bless!
Steve and Muffin.
