Good Saturday Morning everyone! Another weekend has arrived and of course for some of us that means the time will change back to Daylight Savings time. I like that much better than Standard time. Most people disagree with me. They keep talking about keeping us on Standard time year round. That would mean it would be dark at 9pm and the sun would be shining at 3am. Who wants sunshine that early in the morning? Most people like to stay up late so it would make more sense to have more daylight in the evening when people are awake, not in the middle of the night when most people sleep. Just my thoughts on the subject which don’t matter really. I doubt the government will want to listen to me anyway.😂😹
But now let’s take a look at some of our early arriving spring birds, which haven’t come back yet but they could possibly make it back this month…
The first is the common grackle which most people say is black. But if you see it up close in the sun, it sure isn’t even close to black. I think they are quite beautifully colored.
And then, of course, there is the robin. Probably the most well known bird in N. America and for us in the north seeing one of these birds come back in the spring is a real joy and tells us that spring is here to stay. Normally, though not always. But still it’s nice to see them and hear them singing from the tops of the trees on a spring morning.
I hope you all have a very wonderful day and God bless!
