Sunday’s Sunshine #22.

Good morning everyone! Happy Sunday to all of you! I hope you are all well and enjoying your day. Muffin and I were up early, well, sort of anyway, and had a wild time playing! Muffin has a lot more energy to play in the morning now that it’s not so hot. This cool weather doesn’t exactly give me a lot of energy however. But I don’t have to run around, she does, so it works out good. Then it was time for breakfast. I worked up a good appetite watching her run around. So I went to the kitchen. So did Muffin. I started getting the coffee ready. Muffin rubbed against my legs and sat beside her food dish looking at me.

All three pictures today are nice sunny marigolds, these still have some water on them after a shower.

So I told her I would get her breakfast ready once my coffee was going. She looked at me with her eyes half closed. I know that look. It’s her way of saying that if I don’t get her food now then I will have very sore feet. I look at my coffee, then at Muffin. Sometimes you need to be firm. So I get her breakfast, then finish my coffee. After all, coffee tastes so much better when I don’t have sore feet. It’s cool, cloudy and wet again today. There are supposed to be showers all day, perhaps some thunderstorms as well. Muffin won’t like that part.

A beautiful fiery marigold.

Right now she is quietly watching the chipmunks and blue jays picking up their breakfast outside the door. She seems to like those blue jays, but she really does like the color blue, so maybe that’s it. Birds don’t usually get much attention from her, she prefers chipmunks and squirrels. There was a squirrel around yesterday but I’m not sure who it was. It just stayed in the trees out back and didn’t come in the yard at all. At least I didn’t see it come in. Perhaps one of my former squirrels checking to see if Slim was still around? I haven’t seen Slim for a long time now either. He came, chased all my nice squirrels away and then left. He was a very strange squirrel. Oh well. Time for more coffee. Have a wonderful day and God bless!

  1. That was nice, you made a smart move and saved sore feet. Who is that little friend on the tree ? He will surely visit your doorstep soon, another chipmunk? πŸ€” That means, you need to find another name soonπŸ˜‰

    • No new chipmunk, maybe a new squirrel,😁 he was back cutting down nuts from the walnut tree out back.πŸ˜ƒ It had a lot of walnuts this year,πŸ€” but the one out front has a lot more. It has hundreds of walnuts each year and it keeps the squirrels busy,πŸ™„πŸ˜³ except this year there hasn’t been any squirrels around to go after them.πŸ˜•πŸ€―

      • that is awesome, 100 of walnuts😍❀️ wow… uh oh, they need competition, that’s how nature works, or else they’ll ends up alone, or maybe they forget they are a squirrel or chipmunk 😜 just like we forgot we are human’s πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

      • Yep, lots of walnuts🌰 and the squirrels bury them nice and deep and in different places.πŸ€” Sometimes they don’t dig them all up later, or something happens to the squirrel, so some of the walnuts grow, producing more trees.🌳🌳🌰
I think the squirrels and chipmunks won’t forget who they are,🐿πŸ₯œ they’re smart, not like us humans!😁😁

      • They bury Walnuts? πŸ€”πŸ˜³ wow, that’s amazing how nature works 😍 that’s fascinating ❀️ this is how nature never dies… and they never forgot who they are πŸ€— may be they are our ancestors πŸ˜…πŸ€ͺ and maybe we have learnt farming through them, this proves, nature is the best teacher.πŸ™ƒπŸ˜‰β˜ΊοΈ
